Dude you rock! -- You're the ONLY one that mentions where the Radiator Retainer Clips are installed, and how to install them. I had no clue. Looking at other videos, no one mentions it, nor do they even point out the simple part, of how to install them. Radiator clips and retaining hardware, is really important, and without them, i couldn't figure out how to get my radiator installed! Thank you SO MUCH!

Isnt it necessary to "flush" the old coolant with distilled water first ?

Just noticed today my lower rad hose is leaking, and since I've never done repairs of this sort before I was curious about draining the system. This video provided the info, so I appreciate it. Thanks!

@distortionplayer For a stock, or near stock motor, a 2 core radiator will do just fine for you. The reason I added water is that you alway need to dilute antifreeze to a 50/50 mix (half water, half antifreeze). When you purchase antifreeze you can either get full strength where you have to add your own water,, or pre-diluted. I always opt for the full-strength because it's more cost effective.

I'm sorry but my favorite part is the end of the video where we can see your sweat soaked shirt -LOL- just how hot was it during filming-INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH dry heat? hahahahaha -It was a very informative and straight forward video by tthe way . Sweat dripping on coolant recovery bottle at --4:26-- is funny too. I lived in POLK COUNTY from '97-'04 moved my fat ass up to Seattle-miss the winters but not the summers.

I have a question i just recently replaced my fan and fan clutch i also replaced the thermostat but my 92 gt still overheats any help or suggestions please would be highly appreciated

David Q ok so a thorough diagnosis is needed, it may be best to have a shop check it out if it is affordable as then atleast you know what to fix, you can certainly figure it out yourself but a seasoned pro might figure it out much quicker, you would want to look for any evidence of other damage, trying to make sure no internal engine issue exists such as a blown head gasket, also if it is a 1992, does it still have the same water pump? The little fins on the water pump impeller disintegrate after so many years and then the water pump impeller wheel does not push much water through and out to the radiator, also making sure the fans are coming on when they are suppose to and verifying the thermostat is opening and closing at the proper temperature are all tests that should be done. Hope this helps you out.

I have a question i recently bought myself a 92 ford mustang gt 5.0 convertible a few months ago for some reason it started overheating it has like 3 modifications ford racing spark plug wires bbk headers and h pipe mufflers i just replace the overflow sensor with the radiator reservoir and radiator cap and it still overheats i burp the air on the radiator coolant but it still overheats my concern is i hope is not the head gaskets the guy who sold it to me told me it needed a fan clutch any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

What are the two hole under the fill side for?

Automatic transmission lines, unless you have an external transmission cooler like I do which cool the automatics much better. In that case the holes are either left open or you can buy fitted plugs for them. I chose to plug them so dirt and debris dont get inside from the road

I power washed my overflow and cleaned it with some bleach it looks brand new.

nice video. stay away from the cheap, no name, Chinese aluminum radiators. go with a name brand and do it one time.
