+Sharon Pate-Martin you can use the same method - if it's white hair, the highlights can be very white, the midtones a softer gray and the shadows a little darker gray. it's the same method, only instead of using browns/beiges, you're only using different mixtures of white and black :)

What on your tips on painting dark curly hair? If I want the hair black , what colors should I use to paint the midtones, shadows and highlights?

I'm not an expert but if this helps feel free to take my advice. For the shadows, add black to your original color. If the original color is black, just add a little white for the midtone to make a sort of dark grey. Then add white for the highlights. You could also use a dark blue as the midtone for black hair. I know I'm not the person you were asking but I hope this can be useful to you.
