Do you make big loops either on both sides? The backing and the line side ?

Hi! No the big loop is only made in the end that goes to the shooting head. The idea with the big loop is that it should be big enough to let a the spools were you keep your other lines, pass through. That means you do not have to feed the whole shooting head through a small loop. //Henrik GL

@@Guidelineflyfish than what is the best way to attach to the backing?

Also here loop-to-loop is a great way, and often you make a small Perfection Loop in the shooting line, and a big loop in the backing, large enough to so you can run the fly reel throuogh.

Im afraid we don't sell those anymore. Aquasure would work as well, but takes more time to harden. You will find it on this page: www.guidelineflyfish.com/products/accessories/loops-glue-repair //GL-Team

That will break it won’t slip hah. Perfection loop is not a strong knot man.

his tippet will break long before the knot does. I'm well aware of the perfection loop strength rating as a knot. I am also aware that mr frodin is a legend in salmon fishing and spent over 30 years living off salmon fishing. this is the equivalent of a premier footballer showing you how he ties his laces at very least it works for him
