Mate, one of the most useful KZbin tutorials I've watched. The arrows on the strap.... I would never have guessed why they were there. I put my spring bar tool in a vice to hold it and to make sure the forked end didn't get damaged but I'm sure the folded paper works too. Big thank you to you.

can't insert pin at all ? wrong side can't get in the other lug pin hole ? align the strap slowly stuck on the last 1-2 mm ? check pin's orientation

Dip buckle in very hot water for 1 min then pry off using reverse pliers or two bits of string. There are videos on KZbin.😊
