Fifty-five percent of Americans are tidying up their homes right now for the annual ritual of spring cleaning. On average, they spend four days and 19 minutes cleaning and organizing their home for spring. Katy Perry's "Roar," Bon Jovi's 1986 hit "Living on a Prayer" and "Good Feeling" by Flo Rida are the three top songs people are listening to while they clean. Now that your playlist is ready, cleaning expert Caroline Solomon has some tips to make your spring cleaning a breeze.

Maybe it's nostalgia for me. There's just something about spring cleaning, opening up the windows for the first time, having some great tunes on, and at the end of the day, gives me a feeling of accomplishment. Then I do something stupid like make spaghetti with a red sauce and think "oh well, it looked nice for a day".

She's touch up a room or 2 each week & do a deep clean on the main floors every week & once a month for the upper, unlived in floor (since her boys moved out & her mom died), but she vacuumed the carpet once a week. Her carpeted bathroom was also immaculate.

1:12 …scrub window screens? Wouldn’t that flick little dark spots around the window sills/walls? It’s easier to hose them down from the outside, or take them off and spray them in the shower. You’ll see how gross the water gets. LOL and the leaf blower! I can see my brother doing that, he leaf blows instead of sweeping.

They make a lot of different tools. From power tools to stuff around the house to yard tools. You can’t beat what they sell for the money. As someone who went with Milwaukee due to overkill amount of power and most importantly not being Yellow/Lime green I’d recommend Ryobi if you can live with the disgusting color. Yes it matters. love your tools so ill take better care of them.

Baking soda does suck up odors if you leave it on for an hour or 2, but if you're one of those dumbasses that lets foot stank ruin carpet & rugs, then there's no hope for those. You don't need a ton of money - a cheap mop, bleach, baking soda (scrubbing & deodorizing agent), vinegar & soap. 50/50 vinegar & water does most jobs & you use a lot less than you think you should.
