I had to stop watching the lives and have unsubscribed to most of the companies I have bought stuff from. Until I can get the last 5 boxes of stuff unpacked and use the stuff, I don't need anything more. It's insane how much I have purchased in such a short time. Now I just want less stuff so there's no pressure or guilt to use. I spend time with my supplies every single day, either organizing, getting things out for a project, or putting things away. My young cousin has taken an interest in scrapbooking and she's just starting out in life, so I'm passing stuff on to her. She appreciates everything and I feel good giving it to her.

I love your personal insight- there are techniques I just haven’t been successful at, and I beat myself up for not being able to do them. From now on - out they go - no judgement- it’s not how I craft!

I almost turned this off as you sorted and purged, Tiffany. However, I always learn something valuable from you in your stream of consciousness approach to purging or designing a card. Offering this not to be critical (I was in an impatient mood) but to help others stick with a video to get great ideas and see how to make them work for you. I took away more than you know. We all can get too impatient or impulse buy and your thinking approach helped me see that. Thank you.

Loved your video; great ideas on declutterring. I find it hard to get rid of stuff; anything I wanna get rid of I give to a crafty friend in case I need to use it another time. One tip for everyone is: I usually put everything that goes together in one clear plastic envelope. For example, I will put my stamp set, stencil, die and/or embossing folder that is part of a set in the same clear envelope. That way I’m not looking for the different parts of the sets in different locations. I also use Airtable to organize my stamps, dies, stencils and embossing folders. I have tons and it makes it easier for me to find and I can add photos of the items so I can see at a glance what I have!

Oh my gosh I totally need to unsubscribe or mute some companies. I am definitely one who sees something and thinks “oh, I HAVE to have this!” In the meantime I’ve barely touched half of what I own. And I’m subscribed to 3 different small monthly subscriptions. I don’t need to buy more than I’m already subscribed to!

100% agree with the avoid the influencer policy!!! But, I will say that using a photopolymer grip mat AND the sponge pouncer thingies (whether you buy the expensive ones OR the less expensive ones), have been a game changer for me. No issues "blending" with the pouncers and if I'm careful, the thin lines don't move either. The pixie spray and its ilk I too dislike because of the residue. I don't have to keep all that packaging since I don't demo and that helps me in storage. I also stole an idea from Elisa Scrappywife and hung towel racks in my studio from which to hang my stencils, and organize by category. I put mine over a 24" bottom cabinet and as a result, I hung 2 double racks on the wall. I also used a hole punch to put a hole in the solid stencils so they would hang. I cover the hole with a bit of tape when using it. If there are drop puts or counters or masks to the stencil, I put in a clear plastic bag and packing tape that to the stencil. I have Webster paper and ephemera I have saved just to pet and love on and gloat over. They have their own dedicated space in my studio. Their stuff is/was fantastic! I also HATE those layered stencils as I always mess them up, no matter how carefully and slowly I go. Truly, I was never good with stencils until the grip mat/pouncer combo and now, I LOVE them. I use inside my cards, too. Last comment - I like being able to do positive and negative image from the same stencil with the gel plate - I get 2 designs from the one stencil that way. I like to organize by kinds or seasons, for example all Spring items, Fall items, Christmas items, birthday/celebration items and seashore etc. and I group them together so I can find them easier and even by circles squares stars and heart kinds, then I store them in a binder with tabs to find each kind

Hey Tiffany. I’ve been through my stencils a couple of times. All the ones I use frequently hang on the front of my mixed media cabinet - for the most part by maker. I still need to go back through my scrap rack binder of misc. items that aren’t really stencils but ‘porous’ items that I thought at one time would be good for like gel plating. Time to purge them again. thanks for sharing. Creative Blessings!

I have a very small place to craft, right in our living space - so it has to stay semi-organized Having said that the three drawers in my desk often get out of control because I stuff things into them. My style is to keep sets -stamps, dies, stencils, and embossing folders - together

Hi Tiffany. This is a long shot, but do you happen to have in your stash a Carabelle Studio stencil that looks like circles from the top. Kind of like a Japanese umbrella or parasols? I have looked for one everywhere and I wondered if I could buy it from you.

I need to go through my stamps and get rid of some stencils but I am on a disability budget and I have no way to replace them. I’ve noticed I’ve learned more what my style is and a lot just isn’t my style. But on a super tight income when you can’t buy often all year, it’s hard to get rid of. I even bought a ton of cheap knock offs on Ali for stamps and I hate them! They’re shallow silicone that smashes easily. But I can’t afford to replace them with the real deal stamps. Those frustrate me the most!!

Keep your eye out for clearance sales. Whimsy, Spellbinders, 123 Stitch, LDRS, Altenew and MFT all have great clearance sales. That's how i roll with getting supplies on disability.
