Hi, you mention at the start of the video, that the IDS is not your favorite system. Could you elaborate a bit on that, as to why and what you prefer? Personally, I used IDS for some time, also a large installation and configuration I did myself. Lately, I have been exposed to Paradox, and I can just not take a liking in it for some silly reasons. Appreciate your feedback

23:00 min .... The FIT FTN is mounted way to high .... max 1,2m same as VXI 29:00 min the wireless VXI unit is still setup in WALK TEST mode via dip switch 1 - which makes it as sensitive as it can be ... need to remove walk test ..... dip switch 1 - also your battery will not last long

Why must the FIT FTN be mounted at 1.2m? I have mounted these in creative places and they work very well as window protection. Criminals take large dustbins - wheel them slowly and hide behind them while wheeling them. Then they get past the VXI/Takex. They then climb on the bin get to the ledge - window or whatever, and the FIT is there is catch them. Works very well. If the FIT is always installed at 1.2m you would miss its best feature. Ill check the VXI but what made you think its in walk test mode?

the VXI in normal mode the LED should be active and off for 5 seconds or 120 seconds as per dip switch 2 .... not constant on and off .... the fit check the install guide ... could give you problems .... but I like your info

I know this an old feed, but what GSM module are u using. All those outside PIR must have cost you a million.

i used the IDS unit which was a nightmare. I stopped using it. They upgraded their unit twice now, but its still full of bugs. I dont use their communicator. Their IP system is better but the app is annoying, many button presses to do a single action. Yes the PIRs are very expensive, cost me over R80k for my alarm.

These days CCTV with motion detection is far batter solution instead of having PIR's outside. But I appreciate your comments for this system where PIR's are installed outside.

i wish that were true. PIRs are extremely important in alarm installations in places with high crime rate. And when the power goes offline, cameras go offline, PIR use low power and can stay online for 24 hours on small battery amongst other benefits. And what about animals vs humans, Camera will still activate motion alarm for animals.
