1)First bread certainly isn’t easy to give up. Just follow any channel advocating this -keto -and read the comments. It’s the hardest thing to give up and seems to be the one thing that people quit these low carb diets. Or they are seeking a substitute to which there really isn’t one. 2) what is wrong with cashews? It happens to be the only nut I now can eat as I’ve gotten sensitive to every other one including peanuts which I know isn’t really a nut . Even sensitive to coconut so no bread made with coconut flour Corn isn’t a big deal for me except that corn, fructose from corn, high fructose corn syrup and “corn solids” is in everything

Nearly 7 years ago, i decided to go whole food plant-based. Giving up on all meats, fish, seafood and milk was pretty easy, eggs and yoghurt not that hard either. Cheese took me several months and it's something i might miss from time to time. When i tried to give up grains, i had THE worst cravings! Still struggling just to REDUCE my daily intake of them. @@JamesThomas-pv5en Yeah, your body needs time to adjust. Look up "keto flu". You basically want to use and train your gall. It stores bile which is essential for proper ketosis. When you don't use it, the bile hardens, hence why people get gallstones.

look into making other forms of bread if you for some reason cannot give it up. You can make bread out of many different foods surprisingly. I just made lentil banana bread earlier and it was amazing. I soaked and sprouted the lentils beforehand to remove some of the anti-nutrients. Lentils are also lower carb than typical grains.

Grain based food products such as breads, crackers, cookies, etc are NOT easy to give up! These foods are a huge part of the American food culture. As a health coach I encourage people to choose better quality ingredients rather than total elimination. Then the goal is removing all wheat products which leads to a renewed sense of wellbeing.

Hi Wendy! A lectin is a plant protein that the plant uses to defend itself. This protein can lead to problems in our body like brain fog, joint aches and digestive issues- just to name a few! Dr. Gundry recommends following a lectin-free lifestyle to help your overall health. If you want to learn more about lectins, you can find more information by visiting our blog and reading our nutrition articles! bit.ly/3kYvJ55

No problem to give up cookes, crackers but not bread. Once in a while i do take bread. But to those with health issues with obesity, cancer, hbp, heart & recovering from other major illness, need to take this advice seriously as it will improve your immune system

I love going out for Mexican food --well not any more since I have a mold problem -- corn is "moldy" as are most grains. Try going to a Mexican restaurant in asking for something without corn. It's almost impossible. Corn also has gluten so if you can't have wheat like most people can't ...... then you can't have corn either. Ya sorry to break this news 😢 but it's true ☝️

Thank you, Dr, I gave all that stuff up a few years ago. In place of bread you can buy carrot wraps or mango wraps. They’re low in carbohydrate and are keto! You get to eat a wrap instead of the bread. Tuna salmon, or chicken salad in the carrot wrap delicious add some arugula. have a fresh refrigerator type of pickle With it. Now I don’t even use a wrap anymore I just put whatever it is on a plate or salad. Hardest thing I ever gave up was cigarettes- after a pack a day for 18 years- used Nicorette to help back in 1996. next I gotta give up daily beer. A year ago I switched to light beer, I’m a chef you are working with those food and beverage items- chefs like to drink that’s the business. . good grief -and God bless.

@@MsTAMILIAN of course not! Neither are peanuts, or tomatoes and all the fruit and veg that’s on his banned list due to their lectin content. It’s a marketing ploy to make you buy his supplements. 😂

I recently bought a grain mill and organic grains for making my own flour products because all flour today has been robbed of its life and injected with poisonous chemicals. Is freshly ground wheat also bad for you?

Sugar and wheat are addicting because of the protein molecule, gliadin. What I found that worked is to juice for nutritional saturation. That way there's little withdrawal. It's impossible to get all sugar and wheat out so try to limit the aggregate to 6 tsp/day for women, 9 tsp/ day for men. Any more than that will flood the liver with goo
