Tips to Visit Plitvice Lakes National Park | MUST VISIT in CROATIA!

Plitvice Lakes is the oldest and largest national park in Croatia. This place is beyond beautiful! Also an UNESCO World Heritage Site, the national park has about 16 lakes that are connected via countless cascading waterfalls of all different sizes and shapes. Follow along our adventures as we explore the lower and upper lakes of Croatia's most beautiful national park, possibly the most beautiful in Europe even! I went up an old path near the big waterfall when I was there in 2008 and saw a nice top down view from up close. Although it is pretty old, not maintained and grown in a bit. So you have to really take note of it, but it is there and at the time was usable. A steep climb though.

Yes totally doable to travel Croatia without a car. 😊 Thanks for watching! The bus system is good in Croatia. But of course, you have more freedom of time with a car. Enjoy!

It is possible .You have to wake up very early🙂You have to be in the park at 7-8 o clock(there are no crowds)

So a big sign that says no drones and you still use it, love how some people have so little respect towards protected areas. You tell people how you enjoy nature but you don't respect the rules, there are so many endangered species inside the national park that you could have hurt and/or disturbed with your drone but you still used it. Sad and not at all like a person who respects nature. Nature lovers know better. You ain't one. You can read about all the rules of behavior in the National Park Plitvice Lakes website, but I don't think You have. Thank you for your contribution to the destruction of protected natural wonders of the world for your personal benefit.

If you have 3 teenagers, that’s over $200 for the family, way way overprice. Rhine falls near Zurich has bigger fish and water falls. You can actually feel the power of the water falls. Btw….its way way cheaper too.

Hi! Aww thank you so much! That means a lot! 😊 From Entrance 1, I would allocate about an hour to get to the boat ride area. Depends on how many times you stop for photos and such. We stopped a lot lol. We also visited Veliki Slap (the biggest waterfall) first.
