I really enjoyed this video. Very inspiring!! I seriously need to get more organized. One thing that I do and works great for me is I buy those huge zip lock style bags from Dollar Tree can be found I think in the isle with the cloths pins and that sort. I fill them with my themed items and hang them on hangers in my guest bedroom closet. God bless you for all that you do my sweet friend

Really organized 😍!! I have a big Storage bin and the DT storage bin fit perfectly in it!! I have six DT bin and each has school supplies, fillers, stuffed animals and things like that!! TFS Emily and crafty hugs ❤️🤗!!

All I can say is…….“I SO VERY MUCH WANT THIS ROOM”…….🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Space is always “Prime Real Estate”. Thanks Emily for sharing your organization method! Yes, removing packaging makes for easier packing. I also pack “theme” items in zip-lock bags. How very gracious of your church to provide the shelves. So easily and accessible to grab items this way. Thanks for sharing! 🥰🥰🥰

Fantastic organization! Thankfully, I am an empty nester with 3 vacant bedrooms to use to store my stash for my goal of 100 boxes again this year. I have ziplocks, bins, crates, boxes, but I am still not as organized as you are. It’s a work in progress kind of thing for me.!! The boxes from Aldi are an awesome idea for organizing. How wonderful you can have things stored like this at your church! So helpful! Sadly our church building doesn’t have extra space for such a great setup. ☹️ I’m still trying to figure out how to shop in bulk and where to store everything. Hubby and I live in a small cabin with no extra storage, either.😢

@@loveinashoebox6509 we are now using some pews in a back corner of our church building. We have a split sanctuary so they are not seen once you come into the building. They are in a section only one couple sits in. Works pretty well right now.

Well that was fun! You are so organized! I would love a wall with shelves like that! It’s amazing! I do very similar things that you do but not as diligent. I sometimes leave packaging on because at the end of the year I will donate some leftover to Toys for Tots. I keep theme items in the 3 gallon size, jumbo baggies. You’ve been working very hard! I love your new set up! Very organized. Like everyone here, I want this room! lol I do the same, I remove the packaging when I store the toys away. Definitely frees up space. I also have a couple of totes of filler items packaged in zip lock baggies. Oh wow, you have so many school supplies already! Smart to reuse the boxes from Aldi for organization. i purchased the smaller wet bags you recommended. i rolled and rubberbanded the menstrual pads. Easily fit 3 into the bag along with 6 small clothes pins and a small roll of string. Thanks for that tip. This video was great. Thanks for sharing with us.

Very nice Emily! Right now I’ve got 2 tote bins and an “overflow” box of what won’t fit in there, haha. One is packed with all the school supplies, puzzles and non-toy items, while the other is packed with hygiene, toys and clothes. I’ve just started packing my boxes for this year and now I’m looking in my bins going, “what do you mean I have space now?” 😆

This was such a great video! Thank you for sharing how you organize your items! Any chance you know where the shelving came from and could find a link? Those are fabulous! We tried for the first time purchasing items and having packing parties for the church. We want to encourage donations year round but the staff believes the church members will grow tired of us mentioning OCC year round. Not sure how we will end up going - I hate the last minute crunch the last two months before sending to the distribution center. I'm buying for my personal shoesboxes all year long. Just need to motivate the church to help do the same. Thanks again for your videos. ❤❤❤

I pray your church has a great year either way you decide to collect things. If it makes you feel better, my church doesn’t announce it until October. That room is for my boxes and the boxes our church small group packs. The rest of our boxes are packed by families at church. I realize this isn’t the typical way of doing it, but it is what works for our church. God will work out the details! Thank you so much for packing boxes ❤️

Great ideas for those who have a room! One thing I was surprised not to see were running totals of your items so you knew what you have. All of our bins/boxes are labeled with running totals listed on them. Looks like your church is great at donating! Ours isn’t. They’d rather give $ for us to shop with. However it is done, it all goes to give kids a chance to hear about Jesus!

I don’t do running totals because we don’t pack an exact amount. Also we pack individually as families so this room is just used for my boxes and our church small group who starts meeting in September to pack boxes. I know this isn’t the traditional way, but it works for our congregation. So, I pack using items that are donated through generous people and what I find. God works it all out! There is never an exact amount of anything that I gather. I also pack as I go so the total would be forever changing 😂. For churches that do packing parties, having a running total of supplies is a great idea!

You’re welcome! Yes, you can decorate the outside or inside of your box. Just remember that they do tape the center of every box, so the tape will go over some of the decoration.
