@@TravelsAndMore how is the fishing this time of year? Is there any hope that the bass/crappie bite at this time?

@@willb3421 it’s slow right now as the water temps are so cold. I focus on trout this time of year and once temperatures heat up then I’ll start hitting coves for crappie and bass. I’d say about a month out (weather depending) before I start hitting still waters.

I like Turkey creek in spring because it warms up quicker then I’ll move to other spots.

It is seasonal when they carry leeches but I’ve been lucky and get them there 90% of the time when they are in season.

I live in the springs I love Pueblo reservoir I just wish I could remember where the spot was I used to go I can remember it was really Rocky in the water I just cannot remember where the spot was

It's rocky around most of the shoreline, but there's a lot of good areas to fish at.

Thanks for sharing! I recently moved to Colo Springs in December. Being from the south I'm a huge Largemouth Bass fisherman. I miss it!!!! Any tips on where I could find some in the area? Does Pueblo or any other public waters? Looking into smalls, definately going to be learning and going for them. Anyways, any advice or tips would be appreciated so much! Thank agian, Eric

Pueblo Res is your best bet for largies and smallies but the water is still pretty cool. Give it 2-3 weeks and it should really get good.

My buddy went out first thing morning and got into the bass on leeches. Surface water temp Was pushing 80 so the fish will start pushing into the deeper waters looking for cooler water temp when this happens. So stick with a little deeper waters (not coves) with worms and leeches and you should get into some. Good luck!

Mussels are supposed to be good for wipers here but I’ve never given it a shot, I really should.

Everyday is different but I usually fish for 2-3 hours. And you can see how many fish I catch in each video, there’s always more than that because sometime I don’t film some or angle is off or something like that.
