6:06 that little jig is probably the best idea I’ve seen for a jig on building these 2x4 trees as well!

See, THIS is what YT is SUPPOSED to be! I love projects done in a REAL shop and not "over-produced" fluff in a perfectly clean shop. Well Done! I am making this for 2024!

This does look like a lot of simple fun and actually gets the mood going for the holidays, thank you for sharing! Now, if we want to compete with the neighbors, we'll possibly need to beef up the height and go with some 2x10s, steel bracketry, and a concrete with rebar foundation to hold it all up. Standby... In the famous last words of all, "I got this":-)

@@chrissterba501 Sounds like a plan! Maybe you could make it from something lightweight like styrofoam planks? Either way, a large version would be cool!

The simplicity of these decorations/crafts is very appealing! The base might look cool stained dark to look like a tree trunk? I really like it Jen! Looks great, thanks for sharing! 👍😊

This is a Fun project! Yes, definitely want to go with a jig for those repetitive cuts. I went with a 2x6 on bottom for a little more stability. Excellent Vid as always Jenny❤

When shooting the bottom piece. Shot the lower nail that's further away from your fingers, tge you can move your fingers away from the top edge. Believe me it hurts when the curve into you fingers

@@MrDaddyob2 I actually shot one clear through this summer on a different project. 😱 There was one long (hidden) nail in the chamber followed by the smaller size I just loaded. Appreciate the advice though! Thanks for watching. 🙌
