I've always felt that woodworking would be more satisfying in a vest. Lou has confirmed this for me.

This boat's going to look traditional when completed but it's going to be high tech underneath. It'll have strength the old timers could only have dreamed about. BTW: Great dog Lou!

This episode was really packed with all sorts of different things. I have to say (as everyone else) it's an adorable dog! And also one thing that has really gotten in to my head for quite a few episodes from you now; the sound of wood and steel in perfect combination when you're planing. I love it! Can't wait for the rest of the series. Happy Thanksgiving to you Lou and the rest of all of you as well.

Thanks Lou! I've taken the plunge and am building my first boat. Nothing fancy, just a stitch and glue 12 foot fishing boat. The story is that I'm building it for my grandson, but you are the primary inspiration! Some day I'm going to own one of your skiffs. Happy Thanksgiving to you and that new little pup. She's a beaut!

Another great video Lou. Admittedly, some of the best informative videos on wooden boat building here on KZbin. You do not hold back any secrets in your trade and anyone with any amount of basic woodworking skills can follow your directions and instructions. I am always looking forward to your next video each week. Just wanted to say a good American Thanksgiving from here on the east coast of Canada to you and all American viewers here on KZbin.

Willow , great name for your new puppy and your dory!! You should take a photo of each "tool" used in the series and show a collage at the end of the build of just how few tools you use to build a boat!! I just love the way you work in a fashion that any of use can duplicate. Keep up the great videos.

Had to slap myself in the face Lou. Built a little Nova Scotia dory with friends a couple of years ago and we struggled to find extra wide boards to do the garboard planks, to allow for that crazy swoop. So scarf a curve into a narrower plank, so simple but so brilliant! Thanks for the tips!
