The seventh screw was not the one on top shown in this video. It's at the bottom below the board, impossible to reach. I had to break a plastic support to detach the board. Once removed, I could finally see the screw. It's annoying when the most tricky part is the only thing not in the video.

take care of the capacitor on the main pcb!!! make sure u use an insulated tool to discharge... do it a few times as you will likely jump and it wont completely discharge :) and if u have it out for a while "on the healing bench" maybe solder a short wire across it to make sure it doesn't build up any charge

This video was really helpful! And a little trick I've discovered, is when you're going to take the bottom screws out, then take your phone, go into camera, make sure the light is always on, and lay on top of the board. Then you'll be able to see the screws. By the way, the screw in the middle got some glue on it (at least in my Z625) and that's pretty annoying. I hope this can help others. ✌️

thx for the video. helped. my bass kept cutting in and out. satellite speakers were fine. reheated the bass FETs (or Transistors) and crimped the speaker terminals for a better bite on the speakers and seems better now. BTW I didn't have to disconnect the rear panel, I just feed it through the speaker hole.

For the ~150,-€ I payed for them back when I got them they are pretty good. Of course if you are comparing them to decent monitors+a sub they can't hold up, but for a good entry level setup you are going to pay at least 300. For the asking price they are very recommendable.

A better way to remove the sub is to instead lightly pry from the retaining ring, removing it as a whole assembly. You make it harder to remove removing the ring.

When I opened mine up, the black (live) and white (neutral) wires were reversed compared to what you show here. I'm not sure which one is correct or if it even matters. Hopefully nothing outside the case is directly connected to live/neutral.

I got mine for about 5$, the speaker with the controls had some damage, I just slapped a car amp in there and hooked 2 satellite speakers and it sounds amazing

on the driver, on the sub , does it say 8 ohm or 4 ohm , because the website specs say its a 4 ohm system, but when i took apart the 2 little speakers and replaced them with daytons, stamped on the back was "8 ohm, 10w " clearly not the 35watts 4 ohms per channel they were claiming, fo anyone reading this, you can get this system for 60 bucks at new egg, and spend another 60 at speaker parts places and upgrade the speakers and have a really nice system, i was just curious what the sub was stamped at in yours

Just thought I would drop this here. It's a 8 ohm 200 watt rms 400 watt peak amp but the stock woofer runs more stable around 135 rms and 350 watt peak.

I unscrewed the top 3 and bottom 3 Philips screws and the far left screw and middle screw (saw you had it out) and the amp still won’t come out. Did you really have to yank on it ?

Sounds like the wires jumped off the terminals, on the subwoofer.

Taking the metal grill off the Z623 is a nightmare, it's way harder to get off than other metal speaker grills

For me it was easy, you need to push it with some needle or thin screwdriver out, it is glued a bit so need to apply some force

i am a damn idiot. i plugged my subwoofer to 230v and afterwarts i connected the speaker with the controls to the sub, i made a short circuit or something and now its just making 1 short loud sound when i turn it on. Has anyone made the same mistake? Any solutions? tomorrow i will open my subwoofer and i am going to look for a dead fuse or something thats blown off. if i cant fix it i will use it as a passive sub in my car.

Have owned my z2300 since 2010 and its definitely better than these. My neighbor has this system and it's supposed to be superior to the z2300....ha, its garbage compared to that. Will keep my 2300 forever.

these are significantly cheaper compared to the 2300's, so much in fact that im able to purchase 2 z623's and hook them up together for nearly the price of 1 2300. thats 2 subs and 4 satellites, ill take that over 1 system.
