Italian Tiramisu recipe is a perfect dessert for summer, combining layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers with a creamy mascarpone mixture and topped with a dusting of cocoa powder.
Ingredients:
Instant coffee: 1 tablespoon
Espresso coffee: 1 teaspoon
Water: 1.5 liters
Whipping cream: 250 ml
Sugar: 125 grams
Vanilla extract: 1 tablespoon
Mascarpone cheese: 250 grams
Ladyfingers (Savoiardi biscuits)
Cocoa powder: 30 grams
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Coffee Mixture:
Dissolve 1 tablespoon of instant coffee and 1 teaspoon of espresso coffee in 1.5 liters of water. Let it cool.
2. Make the Cream Mixture:
In a large bowl, beat 250 ml of whipping cream and 125 grams of sugar until soft peaks form.
Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract to the whipped cream and beat until incorporated.
Add 250 grams of mascarpone cheese to the cream mixture and beat until well combined and smooth. Set aside.
3. Assemble the Tiramisu:
Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture quickly, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in a serving dish.
Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers.
Spread the remaining mascarpone cream mixture over the second layer of ladyfingers.
4. Finishing Touches:
Sift 40 grams of cocoa powder evenly over the top layer of the mascarpone mixture.
5. Refrigerate:
Cover and refrigerate the tiramisu for 5 to 6 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
6. Serve:
Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy your perfect summer dessert!
