Tired of Waiting for Circle to Search on OnePlus Open? Here Are Some Alternatives!

Going back to Google Assistant to search has been a bit annoying for me but it's helped with being back on the open the last week or so.

off topic but its killing me. how do I disable when I swipe up from bottom edges of the screen it pops up gemini.

Swipe from the bottom right corner to activate the assistant then choose screen search. That's what i do from the beginning using this device

Covered in the video, I just don't show that way of launching assistant. I just hold the power button.

Now that I have 4 phones, a tablet, and a laptop, I don't see why I have the OPO anymore...

I literally just asked my tech friends group last night how to Circle to Search on the OPO...

Could not care less about search, but copy&paste of any text on the screen via the extract is quite nice. Unfortunately, availebility is unclear to me - my OnePlus Open (14.0.0.801) has it, my OnePlus Pad (14.0.0.610) does not. There are reports of it having disappeared with "the upgrade to 14" on other devices and some saying it was not available in EU images or with system language not being English or Chinese. Both my devices are EU and set to English ever since (can not stand bad translation) though. 🤷

It was not good at all for me, cause you can not search with a picture of a human. Only pictures of things. edit: I did not get it until I installed Google Lens for some reason. Maybe a coincidence.. (Pixel 8a here)

How often are you searching people? I don't think I've ever done that lol. I think it's one of those "right tool for the right job" things.

@@scaryifliteral you see some movie scene in a youtube shorts that looks like a fun movie, and you do a circle search to see what movie it is and since there is a human visible it does not show any result.
