Rear ac fan lives behind that box in the rear! I’ve just fitted a solid mass flywheel in my td5 disco from Lof, I love it...

Great vid about the differences between 10P and 15P.

Another difference between 10 and 15p is 10 p had plastic dowels on cylinder head. 15p went to metal dowels which are less prone to breaking.

The lights on the rear bumper bar are reverse lights and rear fog lights not brake lights as you mention. Brake lights are above the indicators on the C pillar.

So the FOH (fuel operated heater) needs about 30-40min to reach its max. temperature which is around 75ish degrees centigrade. Just to let you know ;) Greets from the heater development side over here in Germany :D

Very Cool! I just had my 3.rd (to me) Disco 2a roll into the household this year Great cars IF the rust don`t kill `em. Some odd features on Your D2a. Interesting to see where this is heading!

Nice find, Looks a bit like how mine started life including being a 5 seater with rear Air-con. No left cubby in the boot as the rear air-con compressor is behind that. Epson green is a nice colour.

If u find out how to make the preheater work, please make a how to on it, can’t find any good video tutorials on it, the ones that I have found don’t really explain what they’ve done to make it work

Did you check for rust on the front inner wings? If there isn't any, it's one of a kind! One of the parking sensors has probably just fallen inside the rear bumper and, as a result, is detecting it continuously. If the controller box IS borked, it's a little standalone box hidden behind the lower left (in the UK, at least) trim panel. You should be able to see it if you pull off the vent just inside the rear door but to reach it easily you'll have to take the trim panel off... which takes about 10 minutes. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this Disco' as it's identical to mine.

The reason for not having a storage space on the left hand side in the boot is because of the roof air con :)

Use the 10p lower block with the 15p head and injectors. The 15p has a nnn ecu that makes it easy to remap with a flash. The 10p is just goin to give you issues. I took a 10p engine and upgraded it to a 15p. Everything is the same except the head and injectors.
