Tissington, Derbyshire. 'Well Dressing Week'

Each year during the week of Ascension Sunday, the six wells of the village of Tissington are decorated. A wooden frame is constructed over the well and covered with a clay mixture, then decorated with flower petals and mosses. The decorations usually have a biblical or anniversary theme.
Most of the buildings in the village are built from the same local stone, and about 70% of them are listed buildings.
