@@DesignAtelier Yes, when cheap, chic and fun; I had a swatch 1989 FLEX - STEELTECH GY100, I can't remember how I tolerated the hair pinching of the accordian band, but that's the price of cool.

The popularity of the PRX put me off initially but once I got over my pettiness and tried on the 40mm quartz I bought one there and then. The only downside is trying to tell myself the little dings and scratches the bracelet accumulates adds character but I really want it to stay perfect forever.

For me, the PRX is too dressy and the MoonSwatch is too gimmicky. My sweet spot is the Seiko GMT for sure. Thanks for sharing!

Am on the hunt to add a SBGE253 right now. Got an amazing offer for a new SBGE201 but it's 44mm with sapphire on the bezel. Too big and flashy for my taste. It's as if Grand Seiko told Invicta "hold my beer" and made an Invicta homage. Will hold out for the one I really want.

I watched the Moon$watch hype train pull into the station and had to laugh at how many passengers tried to get on board. Not for me though. Nor the Seiko 5 GMT. I've got more than enough Seiko's in my collection, so I'll wait for a homage/micro-brand to run with the NH34 and see what turns up. So that leaves the PRX, which I finally bought late last year. The more practical quartz version. I didn't see the value in the tick-tock movement, especially as there is no easy way to regulate them.

Astute observation - cheap mechanical movements aren't worth servicing - it's just a full replacement. A quartz movement has fewer downsides so you can focus on fewer better quality mechanicals. Or just buy good value Chinese homage watches.

MoonSwatch indeed best paired with its original strap, I tried with other NATO straps with my Sun MoonSwatch but eventually went back to the original. Seiko GMT orange dial is so radiant, it is e more orange than other orange Seiko, too bad it does not comes in two-tone option.

Excellent video. I have had two of the three, sort of, but not the third which I will be getting at some point. I had briefly, the PRX however mine had very bad seconds hand alignment, it didn't hit more than a few markers and I hated that. I sold it very quickly, Yours does look better aligned from what I've seen. The "sort of" watch was the Mission to Uranus which was in my eyes trash. I would have called it a budget watch at 50 dollars. At 260 bucks it is a rip-off. Frayed strap, blue wrist, lost top pusher, scratched plexiglass from I know not what was my experience. I am careful but with such a flimsy toy it isn't easy to protect. I don't have the Seiko. I do like the orange one you have. It's out of stock here right now but I have it on order from my trusty Seiko AD. I never buy Seiko online due to misalignment possibilities and the AD always makes sure I get a good one.

Good decision on going to the AD for the seiko. It seems that this orange is harder to find but maybe my friends are just not looking hard enough. I don’t know. I actually wanted the blue model but this was a very good pickup nonetheless.

OMG...sorry bro' I can't stand this comparison, the plastic MoonSwatch overpriced by the Omega brand printed on the dial and a cheap ETA movement in My personal opinion I think this one have no place to comparison with the other 2 super nice and well made Seiko & Tissot, I love your transitions between watches and straps! I somehow can’t stand the 5 sports not having a screw down crown. It’s okay that it didn’t have an ISO certification, or even having a 100m WR, as I’m not a diver and won’t go deeper than that anyways. But it’s a diver style sports watch. It should have a screw down crown anyhow to me then. As well as a lume pip. I know this sounds petty. But that’s why I also would choose the PRX, even if this Seiko has one of the best and most iconic case designs of all time, fantastic lume, and a classic workhorse mechanical movement that may be luck off the draw in accuracy, but is reliable, truly long lasting and cheap to service.

@@DesignAtelier Totally agree with that. Your son has good taste. 😁 I like the Bambino V2 cream dial witha blue hands... Very classy. I like the fact that you mentioned Usefulness. That to me is an oft overlooked topic by most reviewers. Most just touch n go buy you actually made it into a topic n compared the 3 in that subject. IMHO, we all appreciate the artwork, thought, R&D, history n quality of a watch, to varying degrees of course, since we all have our preferences. But to gloss over functionality would be a gross oversight... Kinda Like watches that cost millions (!!!) but one can't really tell the time? Those are just icing on the cake. After all, a watch is quintessentially still... A watch.
