My girl friend had an accordéon made in Lafayette. and i was a flddler. We travelled all the way to Equator....from Grand Mamou P.S. I also had the chance to meet Dewey Balfa in Quebec city.

A lot of Acadian French also have Mi'kmaq blood and Louisiana Acadians (Cajuns) also have Caddo, Choctaw and Houma among others. There's also the occasional intermarrying between Cajuns and Creole whereas many Creole have a lot of black and native blood as well.

Nothing better than music made at home from talented people that are family oriented! You can't put a price or admission fee to this and to me it's "Priceless" ... just good music, by good people that have a God given talent. Thank you for sharing this on KZbin guys and girls! My family also had a lot to talented members in it... I use the word "had" because 99% my family has passed on to the after life in heaven... but when I was growing up as a kid ... those talented family members that have passed also were extremely musically inclined and I remember back ... as a child and into my mind twenties... all the family members that could play an instrument and sing would get together on Friday or Saturday nights and have a Jamboree till the early morning hours into the next day. The amount of talent was incredible, and I was privileged as a teenager on into my twenties to be one of those talented family members on guitar. I dearly miss those times and years! I enjoyed this very much and again ... Thank You so sharing! 👍👍😎
