I can see that rubber outer skin drying off, flaking up, and cracking and crumbling to dust in like 3 years. What I'd want to see out of a Playmates line is this. They had this big container of TMNT figures, Green Army Man style. Little, unpainted characters from the Mutant Mayhem movie and strangely the 2012 cartoon. If they had a Monsterverse version of that with Kong, Godzilla, and all the rest. Even if they'd have duplicates of the same characters and molds (the TMNT one did), that would be pretty cool.

Yeah, it's my 63rd birthday today (I'm 13yo with 50 years world experience), and this was the one present my family got me. "Peeling the skin off" is just too Game of Thrones for my sensibilities so I prefer to think of it as Godzilla is wearing a rubber suit of himself, which is pretty hysterical when you recall that most of the Godzillas were actors in rubber suits. I've only half undone it and then put it back on cus I'm pretty certain I won't be able to do it well. Congrats on your redressing cus even their own commercial simply runs the removal in reverse!!

It's a pretty cool figure, collectors like us can laugh at how silly it is (and cringe at the body horror implications) and kids will enjoy being able to transform Godzilla just like in the movie (plus since the rubber suit stands up on its own you can have it be two Godzilla figures when playing)

I had two dinosaur toys that was like that Godzilla but instead had a skeleton version of it. One was a T.rex and the other was some kind of souropod or long neck dinosaur (it was not the braceasorus, if you were wondering it had something on the back of its neck.), and there were also some other dinosaurs as well.
