Yes, they may look cool but your reception does drop. A standard antenna has to be at least 28 inches long.

@@1957kwick haven’t noticed a drop in reception. In any case, radio is very VERY rarely used.

Curious to see if you notice a change in reception quality. I put an even shorter antenna on my Titan (~6 in.), but my reception is now terrrible. If you're works well, i may make the switch.

@@williamroozenboom3269 just scanning a few stations, all was clear. Admittedly, I haven’t really gone too far out of the city so may be different is signal is weak.
