Actually when I went through drivers ed in high school, I seem to remember that when there's two lanes, the right Turner is supposed to turn into the right lane and the left Turner into the left. I think we just don't do right of way properly after we get trained on it.
@AllThingsOverlanding2 жыл бұрын
Haha, I actually think you’re right. I can’t remember all of that intersection but I think there are two right turn lanes going into a two lane road and that person turning left turned into the left lane which was the right turn lane I was in. But, if it was just one right turn lane and two lanes on the road we were turning onto and she was turning left, you’re right, 😀.

Cool video man. Just now getting in to watching more Overland KZbinrs and that looked like a pretty great trip. I was able to meet Cody last year on the Orbis Expedition across the U.P. and it's cool seeing how far along his 80 series has come since then.

Been in that same situation before, the bank 1 cat material broke apart and clogged up the down stream cat. You would think that replacing the cats would leave the engine running like new but most times there is scoring left behind on the engine bores. Hopefully it didn't do too much damage or else you'll start to burn more oil than normal.
@AllThingsOverlanding2 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear you went through it too. It's a huge pain in the butt. It's been a few weeks now and it's still running great. I ran some Lucas oil engine and injector treatment through it too, so trying to be proactive to stretch its life if possible.

i would have stopped at the start of pumpkin hollow to check and fix SES. Unsure if you allow it to be lighted all the time. I try to fix mine as early as I can to prevent bigger problems ahead. Just a thought. Otherwise, neat ride.
@AllThingsOverlanding2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mark. The SES light was on before I went on the trip, haha. I knew that from the problems with the timing chain guides from the PO that they had fouled out the O2 sensors, but it had been running fine for several weeks. I had the sensors at home, but didn't get time to install them before the trip. Once I got the truck back, I replaced the O2 sensors but it didn't fix the problem, unfortunately. At some point on the trip, one of the catalytic converters disintegrated and clogged the lower cat, which is what caused the choked/down on power situation. All cats and O2 sensors are replaced now and it's running fine!

That hurt me that the truck broke, but I am sure it wasn't down for long and your videos get better and better
@AllThingsOverlanding2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! The biggest issue is definitely confidence in the truck. I bought it to take on trips, some of which are longer distance, so I just want to get all the kinks worked out so that I can trust it to get 10 hours away without breaking down and leaving me with a huge repair/tow bill. Getting there!

I’m sorry if you have covered this B4 but what bumper is that. I really like it.
@AllThingsOverlanding2 жыл бұрын
No problem. It's a P&P Engineering bumper. I really like the bumper and all the armor. I've heard stories from folks about bad customer service and I've had a taste of that myself, but the armor itself is great.

Since my truck is “Titan swapped” My lug pattern is 6x139.7 and these are 17” wheels off a first gen supercharged Xterra which matches that bolt pattern.

@@AllThingsOverlanding what is wrong with them if you don’t mind me asking? I’m looking for a new bumper and I love the look of yours.
@AllThingsOverlanding2 жыл бұрын
@@artofthegun4822 Nothing wrong with the bumper, but the shop that makes them is pretty terrible to deal with. I bought this truck from the shop that builds the armor and had a really bad experience with the owner, so unfortunately, I can't recommend them because I'm afraid people will have an equally bad experience. If you look on forums and FB groups for the company, you'll probably see similar stories from other folks.
