Thank you! This is the first video where the two different kinds of peelers are explained in their differences.

I just got one last week and love it. Glad to hear that it holds up over time.

I love my Titans. Bought my son one for his new kitchen a couple of months ago. I STILL have my Borner peeler ( about 20 plus years old) and it still works like a champ. I love them all. When you showed the Vidalia Chop Wizard, bought that as well to make the Onion Jam! I too love anything kitchen! LOL

I got a set of them as well. I had mine for 6 years now and still peel like they did the first day I bought them. They do have a lifetime warranty on them too. I was skeptical of buying them from As Seen on TV but they was only $20 for 2 sets at that time and I'm so glad I did.

I love those peelers! I have two sets and I use them daily. They are the greatest peelers I've ever had.

also as a side note, you could julienne a whole potato in the time it took her to do that one strip

I have had these for 3 or 4 years and love love love them. My mother got herself, my sister and I each a set.. my 81 year old mother didn't like it and went back to using the old peeler. who knows maybe I will end up with two sets. LOL

This looks like it would be great for peeling watermelon for watermelon rind pickles. Just cut the melon in half, peel it, then you can just cut away the yummy part and have the rind for pickles. Much easier than using a knife! I'll definitely check this out. Thanks! Pam

These peelers are great - but you made it look so difficult. Hold the veg in your left hand - not on the chopping board - then pull the julienne or peeler towards you - it is so much easier!

Just received a peeler like that in the mail from Amazon today except the ONE I got was a peeler and then you flip it over and the other side is the julienne. I'm excited to use this for squash and the julienne for the homemade cup of soups I've been making. Thanks. Oh yes it is SOOOO sharp, mind came with a guard to put over it when not in use but I've already cut myself.

I always wondered about them. I got them a couple of years ago when the old peeler I had died. I have been using a $2 one for a good while. Looks like I need to get them out & use them instead.

What a timely video, at least for me. I am looking for a new veggie peeler, as I destroyed the "el-cheapo" one I had just the other day. I'll be using the link to check those out. Thanks for sharing, really.

My husband bought these for me a couple years ago, and they are the Bomb Diggety!!! Went to my moms to make Thanksgiving Dinner and had to use something else. Oh No!! I missed my Titan!!!

Looks easy to start but how to make the rest of potato to julienne strips?
@feaqs2 жыл бұрын
Gotta be smarter than the average vegetable. :) I recommend slicing one side of a round veggie to make a flat side. This gives a more stable base to run the tool across the veg. Everyone is different but some pull the tool towards them, some pull away from them, and some pull to the side (left or right depending on if you’re L/R handed). If you’re lucky, the tool has 2 blades which means you can PUSH the tool as well as pull. You can also stick a fork or knife into one end to secure the veg as you use the tool with your other hand to peel/julienne. Use the direction that is easiest for you and less likely to draw blood since these tools can be sharp. One can also shave a round veg or fruit into a square/rectangular shape as you go which allows you to flip it to keep going. This also allows you to move the veg/fruit across the blades of the tool (as it gets smaller) instead of moving the tool across the veg/fruit. (Hope these suggestions help).

You are the Gadget Queen. Some of those As Seen On TV actually work. Good to see videos featuring them. You should do a show on not worth the money.

my mom has one and insists it is the best thing ever but it takes twice as long to peel a potatoe as it would with a regular peeler. I think this piece is just overhyped by the price

This is what happens when a company steals Joe's idea. Joe the legend! I bet this junk won't peal an asparagus. Yeah I know it's a carrot. Ha

I have these. I hate this style of peeler. Just hate it, much prefer the long style. And the julienner? OMG. You have to have a thumb of steel just to hold on to something like a carrot, and then you are left with a big piece of waste. I just bought a Swissmar V-2053 Borner Power Line Thin Julienne Slicer and hope it works better than this POS.
