The campaign was absolutely fantastic, easily rivaling DooM for best single player campaign this year, I think it may be a bit more fun purely because it didn't have an obligatory level up system like in DooM! It's just non-stop action and constantly moving forward

LateNightGaming - Halo News & Entertainment no doom has the best shooter campaign of this year ya titanfall 2 was also fantastic felt kinda easy while while doom was easy at the start thanks to its diverse set of demon enemies it made combat fucking fantastic and I loved in how the further you were in to the campaign the tougher the battles got I remember fighting 4 pinkies 2 barons of hell a shit ton of possessed soldiers and like 5 revenents holy shit that was amazing doom was so good I am willing to pay for doom campaign expansion pack if they come out not so much for Titanfall 2 multiplayer wise Titanfall is in my top 3 favorite shooter multiplayer series and those are Halo Battlefield and Titanfall

I haven't actually played Titan Fall 1 or 2, but I support Titan Fall 2 because; 1) It didn't ship with a season pass 2) The developers care for its community 3) Doesn't have tact on single player (it compliments the multiplayer) 4) And its a sign that this industry might (maybe) be shifting in the right direction.

I'm calling it right now, mark my words, in three to five years Titanfall will be at the height of the FPS genre. As Favyn said, It'll be "The game to beat" then it will slowly decline. eventually it will get oversaturated with poor management of the series. Then some new and innovative shooter will come out and the whole cycle will start all over again. That's what happened with CoD and Halo, and I really do believe it'll happen here, though it may take a long while.

By that point the guys who run Respawn will have had an argument with EA and will split off to form another company, EA will have done an EA and brought in another lesser developer so they can have a side story game brought out every year called something like Titanfall SRS Ops and it will turn into COD.
@ryanad20008 жыл бұрын
COD went into decline because activation fired people and then they moved on to titan fall and COD went into decline and now COD is copying the people they fired and as for halo thats in decline because Microsoft has full control over the franchise unlike halo CE, 2, 3, wars, ODST and reach. so no not really if they can keep innovating like they are now then this game will be around for a long time.

The 3 lane map system really hurt last titan standing. It's still a good and fun game mode but the 3 lane system took away from strategy in the game mode.
@rosery77268 жыл бұрын
People say they want a new horde mode. I completely agree. But Frontier defense is NOT the way to go for this one. In my humble opinion, Frontier Defense took every aspect of horde modes from, say, CoD or GoW, and threw them out the window in place of every boring, soul-sucking aspect of them. What if, instead, we put you in that little boom-town style arena from the campaign (the one that gave you four friendly bots, and you first fight the reaper in) and throw unlimited waves at you. THAT would be a blast to play, and I could see me and my buddies (whenever they're on, the little bastards) playing it over and over. What if the arena changed every time you booted up the game, or after every round? Given the whole concept behind that playspace, it would also make sense for randomized prefabs to appear each game. Now, full randomization certainly wouldn't work, given the mechanics behind the movement system, but that's just a neat idea I'm throwing out there. I can just imagine an army of fifteen or twenty stalkers charging my power position, or the odd titan thrown in here and there. Or maybe it's not unlimited. After you beat the rounds, part of the arena explodes, creating a hole leading to a parkour gauntlet ending in you escaping on the dropship, if you manage to escape. I would absolutely LOVE playing that, and I'm sure many others would too. Is my idea good, or am I just daydreaming about something that would be horrible in practice? I'd love to know.

@mighthavaclue50668 жыл бұрын
This video is so perfectly critical about some of TF2's blatant issues. I loved the first game and like most of this one in its own way. (in addition to your point about rodeos, the fact that every titan has a lethal variant of smoke punishes rodeo more than ever.) As to your point about maps... I can see by the game-play that you play the way the game was meant to be played and so you must at times get frustrated with all the building insides and camping spots in all these maps. There is too much inside (CODness) in these maps. Almost every single map has massive issues starting with the fact that they (almost) all have so much clutter on the ground (except Blackwater). Complex and Crash Site are the worst because they have so many walls that you simply cannot run on. Drydock has too many corridors and corner camping spots. Homestead and Boomtown have random out of bounds areas and inconsistent trees. etc These may seem like monor concerns but once you consider that this game only really has 3 game modes this is amplified. - For those who wish to question which game modes, they are A: Attrition B: LTS C:Camp (Camp the flag, Camp the hardpoint, Camp the bank, And Camp vs Pilots) All those Camp gamemodes are simply not fun as they punish you for playing the game and moving. - Give us a game mode where you race or get rewarded for distance traveled or just need to track down scattered objectives that move or even give us an Oddball variant where you have to continuously move at a certain speed/distance (and not just camp). ---- But aside from all this rage, high aim assist, and some balancing issues this is a game that should be incredibly fun.

The reason why Respawn removed full titan customization was to remove loadout abuse. Like in Titanfall 1, the meta was set to: an Atlas Titan, 40mm cannon, nuclear eject, and one more. That was loadout abuse because it was easy to play, and dominated everything. For a short period of time, in Titanfall 2, the meta was just Tone: she has the 40mm, a Particle shield, tracking rockets (which only can be used once shooting your target three times), a very short pulse shot to see through walls, and then the most damaging core, Salvo core, which can be guided by line of sight. To stop loadout abuse, Respawn removed complete customization to titans.
@MrKestess8 жыл бұрын
I agree completely with your reaction to the rodeoing change. It's fun to swipe a battery and perhaps that should be an option, but rodeoing titans and shooting until something was done was far more fun. I miss the old maps and would love it if all of them were reworked and thrown into the mix. I usually only play attrition so I might not have even bought the game if attrition wasn't included - after about 6000 games of T1 (it's a family thing). I miss my titan punching another titan off the edge of the world - that was fun! Why is that missing? Although the Ogre somewhat survived in Scorch, it would be great to see a Stryder and Atlas make it to the game. What happened to Big Punch? Yes, zip lines are awesome too. I think you're exactly right about the pilot game - it's too close to perfect to mess with. I think options on top of the titan would be great: pull battery, toss grenade, shoot until dead...
@xTHATGUY339x7 жыл бұрын
I think the rodio system should incorporate both the original and the new system. Give the player the decision "should I take what I can and remove the battery, or pop the cover and start shooting in? Maybe I'll have time for both. Have two buttons on the D-pad, one to pop the cover, the other to steal the battery. Whichever the player picks, let them stay on as long as they want. Let them try both if they think they have enough time. Maybe give them the option to disable the shoulder rockets/lasers by shooting at it, forcing the cooldown to reset.

Good thoughts... I'm about a year and a half late watching this. Recently picked up Tf2 on sale. Played a ton of Tf1 when it was first released. I like Tf2 but I really feel like they took a lot of steps back to make it. I'm glad you spent a lot of time on the map design. This was something that was pretty much perfect in Tf1.. I'm not sure why they changed their philosophy so much. The rodeo system was another thing that was so awesome in Tf1. Ripping off the covering and blasting the innards with your rifle was so visceral. This new system is just lame. Another thing not mentioned is the titan entering animation. They were absolutely perfect in the first game. Now it switches to 3rd person and completely breaks the immersion. Just why would they change something like that? I love the mechanics and aesthetic so much in the Titanfall series, it just kills me when they make these really bizarre decision.

@azyiasteelheart80538 жыл бұрын
To touch on the things you have said, I have to agree with most of your points. I loved the Original Titanfall, I played it regularly up until Titanfall 2 launched and I got my own copy. This is probably one of my favorite FPS games on the market and it is one of the few games where I can get into a groove so good that getting killed in stupid ways hardly bothers me at all. The game has so much potential. But, as you pointed out, it made changes that were not for the better. I both love and hate that they make you choose between an Anti-titan weapon and a sidearm. On the side of Love, my beloved Sidewinder is finally a primary weapon. and I can use it in conjunction with the Mag Launcher. I'm already G3.5 with it and I haven't even had the game for a full two weeks. However, this means that I might be at a disadvantage against other pilots, what with my character being built for engaging titans. That doesn't stop me from being a murder machine, but hey, I have had my fair share of encounters where a sidearm would have put the other guy down that little bit faster. My other gripe that I share with you is Rodeoing. In Titanfall, I almost exclusively engaged Titans from the ground, softening them up before rodeoing with my Spitfire, or dumping a bunch of satchel charges on its head and jumping away before detonating them. In Titanfall 2, this whole jumping on, yanking out the battery, jumping off, then jumping back on to drop grenades in the hole, only to jump off again, this whole situation just feels foreign and wrong. It doesn't feel stream lined or fun. And while it does have benefits for the Titan being Rodeoed, it is still clunky. Beyond that, now the spitfire just feels useless. Have you noticed it tends to hiccup every few shots? With the maps, I tend to notice above all else that the Pilots spawn quite close to one another. In most games, the first death is within the first 10 seconds of the match, which feels odd, since the maps in Titanfall 1 spread pilots pretty far away from eachother at the start of the map, almost placing the players in opposite corners of the play space. Then you would have to hunt eachother down. It feels like only a third of the maps were built with both pilots and titans in mind, and a lot of them felt very bottlenecked in places. Moving on, my final thought on the matter is Titan customization. While I initially missed the custom load-outs we were allowed to employ in 1, I quickly grew accustomed to the idea of each titan have its own play style and personality. I am particularly attached to Tone, who has one of the most fun strategies of the titans. Being able to land a couple of hits on a titan, hit his buddy as they switch out, then fire a sonar pulse to lock onto both and launch a barrage of missiles is something to be enjoyed. While her core ability might be lack luster, it is still very fun to play with her. In addition to being able to level up my titan and customize her the way i desire, i found the system to be superior in the end. Maybe that's just because I really like tone and the way she talks to you.
@nannyvarmint53418 жыл бұрын
Hey Favyn, I recognized you on Reddit and I have to say my feelings about the game have changed quite a bit. The map design is really the absolute worst part about this game and it makes bad-kid perks like radar pulse, map hack, cloak, and amped wall more used then any other perk because of the effectiveness of camping rather than movement. Maps have no verticality and lack any complexity that rewards movement, and because of that actually punishes movement. It may be a tall order, but if they can fix map design to be as it was in the first game I can see myself playing this for quite a while. But I know the design choices I've mentioned if not fixed will be the game's demise for me much sooner then later. Good video!

Here's my Opinion First off: The Campain IT WAS AWESOME. It's just in my opinion the best Single Player EVERY created, yes I even go higher than DOOM or HALO or Half Life or even the CoD Series but it's so damn awesome. The levels were packed with the perfect amount of action and story that I never felt lost. BT is a great example of good story telling. You know why he's there, you know what's your (you and BT's) Mission are and you know what to do. And he gives you sometimes actually feels, cuz you don't want to lose him and he doesn't want to lose you. The Levels are big enough, not to give you to say "Oh, I wish there was more" BUT not too much to make you say "Ok ... when will this end?" The Story is believable and the characters are, funny enough, perfect to be the mainstream (for the great majority) The bosses are fun, unique in their way and compelling enough to WANT to kill them. Like they give you an actuall battle and dont just stay and shoot. They hide, they take cover, the try their advantages of their unique Titan. The places are very very good too. Once you are on a flyin gship, next you are in a lab with something VERY SPECIAL. Next you are in a huge battlefield. It's overall perfect. Aswell as the weapons! Never did I feel "Nah .. could be more" and at one very special point you get something AMAZING. All in all perfect. And while I do love the campaign the MP is for me a bit .... kinda harsh to feel perfect. It's good, very good, uses the abilities of the titans, has a good Map Design of various places and great detail. But I feel kinda in Titanfall 2 you DIE alot quicker. With your Titan or yourself. A Titan essentially doesn't feel THAT strong anymore. Still it's very powerfull but a well trained Pilot can kill a titan easily. There is electric smoke? No problem, just jump of and get the battery in a few seconds. and then you cant really do much except go out of your titan and probably get killed by something else. I feel that I, as a noob in Titanfal 2, am very very bad against other player. See sometimes 3x lvl ~50 and above makes me feel sad. NOT MAD, but sad. Cuz then I know "Nah, this round will be shit for me anyways" And in most cases, that's then actually the case. Very rarely I actually find myself rampaging. Also only 1 very very little point to notice: When you spawn a titan, and lets say, you are behind a wall, look down (where teh grodun will be) and wanan call a titan, it can happen that teh titan will spawn at the edge of the map which sucks really, cuz you just wasted a titan, if you cant go quickly enough there in time. And no, I don't hate the reaper. Reapers are a good level-up for the difficulty in MP

Good review and I share most of you opinions. I love the game and I love the original! For me this is a new game and stands on its own. I think the one thing that many forget that as good as TF1 was it was not a commercial success; Respawn had to come out with something that would appeal to the "mass" market - thus some compromises. My thinking is that there is a long term strategy: provide a game with more "mass" market appeal, gain a new vibrant community and with further updates and a potential TF3 bring back some of the things that made TF1 as good as it was but still keeping enough of the stuff to engage the community engaged. I agree with your comment that with the correct implementation strategy over the next couple of years this could become the "go-to" game for FPS... let's hope so! In summary, I can only trust that Respawn sees this and realizes this is one of the most balanced and focused commentaries I have experienced. I have tried to be a loyal supporter and remain positive but this last DLC is a disappointment we need more maps that have some diversity, just like you said, and go to maps more like TF1.

I forgot to mention the community. If what I said happens, then the game will slip up with a few bad titles. Then the game's core mechanics will change in some way. Then you'll have the lobbyists for the more "classic" Titanfall gameplay. And on the other side of the token, you have a more new generation of fans who want the series to continue on it's path, which might not be what the franchise needs.

As an amature level designer you are absolutely right. Level design isnt a set of rules its a set of principles that influence design. the two things that are only going through your head are "is this far and is this fun" you arent going out of your way to design the map with a specific set of things you need to check off. 4 walls ceiling and a floor is enough if done right really

Great video. With regards to TitanFall 2s Rodeo system, isn't it supposed to increase player involvement and teamwork? So if you were playing with a buddy, you could steal an enemy battery and give it to your friend or a friendly to boost their titan? I guess that those moments would be few and far between though. Also with Map design, Halo has a large number of Asymmetrical maps, yet each feels varied, so the 3-lane approach doesn't need to be applied at all times, like you said (Yes I know Halo and TitanFall 2 are very different games, but I couldn't help but make that comparison in terms of map design)

I dont like this "every titan is unic" aspect I loved the old custom titans in titanfall1 why is everybody going for the "characters" route? what happen to in debt costumization? what happened to that, it gets borring and predictible with this titans you know there strange and weaknesses and in the end it gets repetetive, unlike the first titanfall you got one that could be fast with a shot gun or slow with a rifle but it could go vise versa and make each encounter random and unic "really unic" i understand everybody jumping the moba wagon (expecially with overwatch) and while I like that I still preffer costumization over characters, i dont want to play a character I want to play my self (aka my own build character)

Although I don't agree with all your points I think your argument is very well put together and coherent. I think the current rodeo system is fine. I do really like the system of giving and taking batteries, but I would definitely like something in between the current and previous system. Choice when rodeoing would be great, take a battery or maybe just shoot off some quick damage. I personally really enjoyed the campaign, a VERY Saturday morning cartoon vibe. Another great video. Keep it up.

Hey Favyn, I personally enjoy the battery mechanic with titans, as it promotes a great deal of teamwork and interaction. I do, however, agree that it should be improved, as the incentives for doing it aren't very good and the process of transferring the battery is quite honestly annoying. I do like the idea overall though.
@FavynTube8 жыл бұрын
+Tyler Fuhrman I know what they were going for but like you said the execution is bad. Removing a battery does barely any damage. And it's also like I said very cumbersome and annoying to steal a battery and give it to a friend. And while getting a shield is great, I'd prefer their to be some form of base shields instead. Like I said it just isn't interactive. And while it is cool when a teammate helps you out, the process itself isn't worth it. How might you improve the system? Personally I'd try something different.

I have to just say, as that probably cliché comment trope at this point that you just earned yourself a new sub. I don't often agree with everything you say, just discussing the gameplay of the new vs. the old in your Halo vids being a great example, but I always appreciate hearing your opinion on the subject. Your arguments have always been well thought out and logical, giving me if not a only source to come back to when fortifying my own opinions but also a unique view and greater understanding on the actual gameplay in whichever game you may be criticizing. It's never overwhelming and it's always easy to see how you came to your conclusions even if I may not always agree with them. It's appreciated. So thanks for that Favyn. This is one of the few channels that I've gone through the comment section of multiple videos and watched as there are discussions to be had and the content creator has discussions on the topic and they are handled just as intelligently as the video itself. So keep it up. I'm looking forward to more.

Why does this video not have more views/likes? This is a really good review and sums up Titanfall 2. But you forgot one thing, WHERES THE CLASSIC KICK IN TITANFALL 2
@MuscledRMH8 жыл бұрын
I wish EA did not screw this game and released Titanfall 2 in March like the original. I did not buy Titanfall 2 (despite being a huge fan of the original) because it released between COD and Battlefield. The franchise isn't strong and popular enough yet to fight against those juggernauts. I will get the game with christmas though but it hurts to wait for this game so long... I personally feel the new user interface is not as good as the original one in Titanfall 1. The original game had an interface very similar to COD (which is very clear and easy to use). This is my biggest gripe. Which says a lot if that's all.

agree with the maps, rodeo, but there's one other thing that limits a players personal play style and made the game far more intrusting, titan load outs! like Ronin with a chain gun for example and weapon mods basically use what works for you not the concept of use what we want you to and let us "equal it out" bs if you have to equal out something then there's something seriously wrong

Yes, the maps are bad or at least they are not diverse enough. Where did the zipline and hackable heavy turrets go? They gave the pilot alternative ways to move long distance and to high places. And the heavy turrets gave the teams a form of map control. Titanfall 2 polished some of TF1 points away. And if one where to rodeo an enemy titan, then the pilot WILL die if the titanpilot knows what he or she is doing (THE PILOT IS MARKED) with no real reward.

+Bk Big Fish you act like you didn't even watch the video. I was very critical of the map design and very detailed in why I thought it was subpar. I used words like that to describe the campaign only because I didn't want to spoil details.
@MuscledRMH8 жыл бұрын
I 100% agree with your complaints. Every single map in the original Titanfall felt unique and played very well with the movement system. Every map was action packed without "forcing" lanes. These lane designs are what I hate about the recent COD games, they don't feel like maps but instead feel like caged arenas with repetitive map design. I had so many favorite maps in the original Titanfall because they all were so damm good! The fact that all future maps (and weapons + modes) are free allows Respawn to experiment with their map designs and implement our feedback for the future maps being added to this game. I also prefer the original Titan rodeo system over the battery packs. I understand what they tried to do with batteries and what type of tactical gameplay they wanted to introduce but it just doesn't fit a game like Titanfall. It doesn't fit, just like health packs would not fit Call of Duty. Getting on a Titan, taking off the protection and starting shooting at the battery was so much more exciting and immersive than the battery system we have now. The fact that Pilots no longer have a seperate slot for anti-Titan weapons is really weird to me. In a game were Titans play such a big role, every Pilot should always have the posibility to fight them with weaponry and should not have to sacrifice their secondary weapon for an anti-titan weapon. This was one of the great elements of the original game that simply isn't there anymore. The game still is A LOT of FUN but these things hold it back from being a 100% better experience and game than the original game.

I think the campaign is a little overrated. I'd honestly rather Respawn have focused on making more maps for the multiplayer than the campaign. When I look at it pragmatically I'll play the campaign once, that is about 5 hours it took me to beat it. But I'm going to spend hundreds if not thousands of hours in the multiplayer, the difference between having 5 vanilla maps at launch and 10 is a HUGE quality of life improvement for the game and it's core element and selling point, the multiplayer. We all know how much people have been crying for new maps, if there had been no campaign I can assure you we'd have twice as many maps on release than we did. And I honestly can't see how that would be bad. I said the same thing about Battlefield 3, 4 and 1. Less singleplayer, MORE MAPS FOR THE ONLINE WE SPEND HUNDREDS OF HOURS IN. Otherwise really good commentary.

Titanfall 2s singleplayer is pretty well made in comparison to other multiplayer/singleplayer shooters. But, once you add games that are purely singleplayer, like dishonored 2 and dark souls 3 (to an extent), tf2 starts to falter. My point is, it's the perfect middle ground. Not shit like any of the cod campaigns (excluding 4, which was ok to me), but it won't make you rethink life choices like with the souls games, or make you think outside the box like with the dishonored series.

Then actually, don't get either they both have fairly short campaigns (I do recommend bf1 over tf2 for single player) cod infinite warfare actually has a good campaign which will probably last you longer than either considering it has side missions

***MUST READ COMMENT*** (no bullshit "you're gonna die if you dont read and forward this comment" lol) I would've expanded more on the rodeo system.. keep the pilot vs titan concept where you dmg the titan's internal working by blasting directly into the chassis or remove the battery to do tactical dmg removing the Titan's ability to generate a shield if one isn't reinstalled.. I would've done that making it a bit better and more rewarding to attack titans to motivate players to take on titans without needing anti-titan weapons.. now.. titans vs pilots would need a balance too, maybe something as simple as a dash knocks a jockey loose and they have a button prompt to stay attached or something.. titan gameplay itself can be overhauled a bit with the inclusion of thrusters to jump, was always silly how a little wall would keep a titan out of an area if you didn't have Morningstar. Certain titans clearly overshadow other titans as well.. balancing issues are painstakingly obvious. The only titans that are as close to perfect as possible are Tone and Scorch.. the other titans are really just.. there. It's sad to see simple balancing issues. pilot vs pilot.. ammo limit on turrets.. fair balance in my opinion. Something to counter spawn hacking also.. too many CoD spawn hackers around.. so maybe make maps muchhhh larger. pilot vs titan.. more effective rodeo system. exactly what I wrote before really. titan vs pilot.. regular weaponry shouldn't dmg titans.. only rodeo dmg or anti-titan gear should be allowed to work.. would help to make the rodeo system more necessary and keep titan players on their toes other than "dam lost a battery.. oh well let me just one shot them and get it back.." dmg to pilots doesn't need nerfing either.. should you expect to survive after getting hit in the face with Tone's 40mm cannon? I don't think so lol titan vs titan.. balance the titans better.. only seeing Tone and Scorch is a waste of space having other titans if the 1st two are dam near perfect.. lighting shielding protecting Ronin when using Salvo Core would make it more dangerous.. Morningstar maybe given unlimited boosts to accommodate having practically NO health.. something to balance titan combat better simply because the majority of titans are just collecting dust to be honest. pilot customization.. why isn't it more thorough..? why is it just changing the camo..? can't customize the character at all practically, same goes for the titans.. all changes are just superficial paint jobs.. sure you change some traits but why not alter the overall appearance? alter the performance with including weight factors on armor? it's astronomically basic still.. campaign.. MAKE IT LONGER.. i was having too much fun with Titanfall 2 to notice I already beat the campaign, only downside to the game's campaign.. and also; why isn't there some kind of co-op these days..? not everyone wants to play JUST multiplayer.. not everyone wants to JUST play other people on the net, try a split screen aspect. wouldn't be too difficult really. just change things lol I speak for myself when I say this but ALL shooters should be involving split screen.. never forget the roots of the Golden Eye days just because CoD makes its money off of online play. I honestly feel like shit every time I have to tell my dad the game isn't for two since he has always been my tag team partner in games.. modern gaming is killing the couch potato co-op.. "but the game would be too easy" well then add more enemies..? online co-op modes would be just as intense if the number of enemies suddenly doubled for every player added into the game lol another thing is enemy types.. far too bland in terms of enemies.. generic foot soldiers and titans. Too much of a Michael Bay movie where the robots all look like enemies. Could've added in more indigenous monster enemies.. maybe huge ones that require the use of your titan.. maybe even silly chases if you get separated from your titan and have to bolt the scene quick to survive.. something around there would make the game even more hectic and dynamic; an overall exhaustingly fun experience in my opinion but yeah.. the enemies are way too basic and provide practically zero challenge until you hit an enemy Titan and that's a fact.. think the only parts I died in were due to the terrain and the ark chase sequence.. other than than even on Master level difficulty the enemies never really posed a threat to me BUT I was never bored either.. it's weird to describe.. multiplayer.. why wasn't there some kind of gauntlet mode? seems cliché yes but in a game with giant mechs you'd think they'd install some kind of survival mode just because lol gives room for teamwork in a game where you ultimately need little to literally NO help.. the gauntlet mode could be as simple as a four man group going against waves of sentry and enemy titans.. only two titans for the players though.. makes room for teamwork for the ones stuck on the ground aiding the ones piloting titans to take down opposition or capture objectives etc etc. Friendly titans posing as a distraction so the titan-less pilots can flank and take apart the enemy titans. SOMETHING. Can someone just copy/paste this and send it to Respawn? it's a million dollar idea, literally lol won't even get mad if they take credit for it as long as it's actually DONE lol A lot of things can be tweaked in Titanfall 2 to prepare for the 3rd installment.. if the game does any of those things then it's already gonna be my all-time favorite game to play. in terms of map and level design, Respawn really should think bigger like you said.. probably larger maps.. cramped in places.. etc etc with bigger emphasis on verticality.. maybe even directly linked to areas in campaigns like the ark test site in the campaign I would've LOVED to fight in D: random side note: the movement is pretty cool as well but I still have no idea how to bunny hop lol every time I do it right I just end up jumping like an idiot regardless how many tutorials I find x.x
@corbino98557 жыл бұрын
I disagree with your opinion on the rodeo system. I think it adds a much greater risk and reward, as it takes longer to damage the Titan, thus increasing your vulnerability to other pilots or titans, but it takes off a good chunk of their health and grants a battery which you can give to yourself or your teammates, which grants a shield, essentially another bar of health, and a good amount of health back. Also keep in mind that it helps you get your own Titan back significantly. Respawn obviously created this system to contrast the first game, where you run around the map in search of enemy pilots and pretty much do diddly squat to help your Titan teammates, other than shoot the enemy titans with your anti-Titan weapon. You don't even have to stay for the entire animation. You can jump off the Titan at any point if you'd rather not risk it. I also think it is more fair to the titans as well. In the first game, you could doom a titan just with a spitfire alone in one rodeo. In the sequel, pilot comes on, steals your battery, goes away. Sure you're mad that he stole your battery, but you still have at least two thirds of your health. The pilot would have to risk multiple rodeos to doom a full health titan. My final point is that as cool as it is to rip off a titan and shoot their circuitry, doesn't it make more sense to just throw a grenade in there and be done with it, which is the second rodeo animation when you already have a battery? Sorry about that. That was longer than I intended.
@SmokyTiger1016 жыл бұрын
I disagree, I prefer the rodeo system. Using a gun to shoot their innards was way too op, you could take down a titan incredibly easy. Now, the Titan has a chance to kill the pilot and retrieve their battery. And still, now the pilot has incentive to steal the battery - to help/heal their teammates. This act of help encourages teamwork and brings the team together as a whole, in turn, bettering the experience all together.
