the servers are actually fine by now. There's no more timing out in the middle of the game or getting high ping. There is a problem when you're getting error message and being sent to main menu, but it can be partially avoided by not clicking anything during game search. Also the game search itself isn't that long, something about 1-3 min, but it can vary depending on player count.

Not my experience unfortunately, I timed out in every match of Pilot vs Pilot, even without hitting the game search and trying to change loadouts before looking for a game it would timeout, the only way I could change stuff was in private lobbies. player count at the time was about 5k players and the example I said was solo searching for PVP mode that took me about 30 minutes, disappointing because it's one of my favourites to play. I know skill based match making also a factor in this game too, maybe a smaller pool of players to draw from for me. If my experience was the same as yours I'd recommend it probably, thanks for the comment
