+Cpt. Coon The unsinkable Molly Brown was an absolute legend as she had the best of both worlds. Being of "new money" status (which the not so modest wealthy families considered vulgar and frowned upon), she could empathize with the less fortunate. When she landed weath however, she remained humble and very accepting of those that would otherwise be considered vermin. She treated everyone as equals unlike the majority of the snobbish first class.

This is a crucial part of Jack’s character development because it’s the first time that he actually sees the world that Rose lives in every day and understands the misery she was referring to earlier. When she first told him how alone she felt, he was sympathetic but didn’t fully get it because he’d never been in that position before. But now that he’s literally walking in the shoes of someone in first class, he finally gets what she was talking about, and that’s what motivates him to take action the next day and encourage her to break free from that lifestyle.

There is a deleted scene that shows Molly at the bar requesting more ice for her drink as the ship sails past the iceberg in the background. (Of course, the irony was intentional). She is a bit intoxicated due to the fact that she is depressed over the First Class women continuing to shun her. I am glad this scene was deleted. First of all, this was just too ridiculous to have actually happened, and second, it would have diminished the proud and self-confident character that Molly really was.

@Ayub Kutta the thing is, she was really not. She was marrying Rose off to Cal for monetary gain, they were literally losing all they had due to debt after her husband's death before the engagement. She could have used a little bit of humility because life was certainly trying to knock her down a couple dozen pegs.

Jack didn't need wealth in order to stay strong and speak his mind while Ruth was trying to undermine him. I like how Jack doesn't let people who think they are better than him get him down. All a person needs is something that would make him/her happy and it doesn't need to be wealth and especially not being 1st class. 3rd class people are way much fun to be around.

If this doesn't prove that Jack is smooth with his words, I don't know what does. Jack is like really knows how to choose the right words. It also really shows a lot of personality. If any scene were to represent him it would be this entire dinner scene. He truly does have a totally different set of eyes.
