I ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ the Titanic, and was blessed to have the opportunity to actually TOUCH a hull section brought up from her FRP... I’m enrapt by the ship and her story. That being said, I wouldn’t pay more than sixty bucks for this thing... at a HUNDRED Sixty, I’d say their price-point is as ludicrous as the claim of an “unsinkable” ship. 😒

I think the speed of it makes sense considering the type of boat it is/was. A cruise boat is meant to go slow so it makes sense that this would be slow. Nice video guys!

Thats actually pretty cool. I built the model as a 13 year old boy, the same year my Grandfather passed away. Being its a scale cruise ship, its not supposed to be a fast model. I think in a strong wind would blow it away.. I can imagine many English people would like that. My Grandson loves the slow boats, so I also enjoy them for him. Thanks for the recognition. Lol. Its not a bad boat. Detail is good but yes, stacks were yellow. One stack on Titanic was actually fake. It was added for consistency.

The strings across the top are actually representing the antenna for the ships radio, they had to have a antenna that long because they transmitted at a pretty low frequency to get better range out of it

Titanic had strung wires from mast to mast, which operated as the transmitter and receivers of the Marconi wireless telegraphy system. They tapped out messages in Morse Code in those days of course. Then it was the height of modern and not all ships were yet equipped with such a system. The strings are obviously far over-scale in diameter.

The 3 cables across the top is on the real Titanic the (relatively new at the time) Aerial for the Wireless set. in those days they tended to use 3 parallel wires connect together at each end.

I live on a lake and have recently gone crazy about RC boats!! I wish there were more or even any RC boats that have lights because on those warm balmy still nights I'd love to have a good RC boat that doesn't go real fast but look nice on the water at night all lit up. Even the red & green port & starboard nav lights would be nice. Maybe the Titanic would be good? Any chance you could demo it at night? Lol

I got out of a longer term relationship about the same time the movie Titanic came out, so I spent a chunk of my early adult dating life during that movie's run. I may have personally accounted for 1/100th of the box office gross. To top it off, I worked at a radio station at the time, and I played the Celine song a million times. I'll say now, although you'll probably never review it, although it's money well spent. The best all around rc boat is the Streamline RC V3 Thrasher. Yeah, it's $800. But, it won't have any issues. It has an electric bilge pump. No props ot rudder to break. Nothing hanging down below. Armor on the bottom. It's built to bash. Running rocky rapids. Jet drive. 100% out of the box, no need to mod. Runs on 2-6 s.

The full-scale Titanic had a top speed of 23 knots (~26 MPH). So, in terms of scale, the R/C version is bookin’ it ... like “don’t smile while facing forward unless you want cheeks flapping and bugs in your teeth” bookin’ it. 😁

@@EJ-74 If my math is correct, the 1/325th scale equivalent of 23 kts works out to 7.1667 feet per minute. (23 kts = 26.467927 MPH = 139,750.65 feet per hour = 2,329.1775 FPM / 325 = 7.1667 scale FPM ... unless I goofed somewhere in there.) I can't tell how fast the model is going, but if known, it's just the same math in reverse (multiply by 325 and convert to the desired measurement). Hopefully that's more info than either of us really wanted to know! 😁

That remote control ship you have in your and is a very special item. I have three of these Titanic models I bought from Amazon for $150.00 each. 2 came from Amazon. One came from Ebay from a private seller. The two I got from Amazon, I left one named The Titanic. Changed the name of the second Titanic to The Arabic. The Titanic itself goes up to 5 knots. The Arabic has been clocked at 6 knots. The third model I got from Ebay, was the very first Brigamo model that was put out. I renamed this Titanic model at The Corinthic. This one is much heavier then the 2019 models. When it turns left or right one of the wing propellers goes in reverse to help it turn faster and tighter curves with the rudder. When in reverse, only the wing propellers go in reverse. The center propeller does not go in reverse. What I find so interesting about this model is that I have clocked it at top speed of 7.2 knots. This makes it the fastest of the ocean liners that I have. I have made over 100 videos of these three in the last year. It is fun taking these out on the duck pond, making the video and running the ship on the water. Its nice and really relaxing. Its more fun playing with these models instead of The Bismarck that I also have, which can go up to 15 knots. Yes have a Titanic model is worth having. (The funnels on the real Titanic was yellow always. The Titanic funnels on the r/c boat is correct. The Lusitania is the 4 stacker that had the red funnels.) Take care of that Titanic. Show it TLC and it will show it back to you.

It would have been nice if it was designed around a submarine so it would sink and and surface. I met a guy in Houston over twenty years ago who built a Titanic by hand with a watertight cylinder used in RC submarines inside. It can "sink" like the Titanic and surface to do it all over again.
