Titanic: Honor and Glory

2 ай бұрын

112 years ago today, the RMS Titanic departed Southampton, England to begin her maiden - and only voyage. This iconic moment has been recreated time and time again in films, TV shows, musicals, paintings, video games, and elsewhere. In memory of those aboard and those yet to board in Cherbourg and Queenstown, we submit this animation to join the collection.
To borrow words from one of the great departure recreations:
“Farewell, farewell. Godspeed, Titanic.”
Be sure to join us this Sunday for our 112th Anniversary Livestream featuring our first ever Real-Time Sinking LIVE EVENT only on KZbin (@TitanicHG) starting at 9pm ET.

To be simply in the closet view or perhaps the sight where Titanic is truly alive; is spectacular and amazing. It never ceases to amaze me that we now-in this day and era-can truly bring back the beauty where Titanic can be seen as in the beauty and sight that she was meant to be seen through. Again, for how much I praise the Titanic: Honor and Glory’s team, it is still a big pleasure saying that you guys do so much in the community to be disregarded, may we celebrate this Titanic Month well and fine. -Jealouse Statement

I've always viewed this project as being a detailed digital restoration of the Titanic. This is as close to time traveling as we can get. This set then becomes a historical theme park where we can play games and hold educational and cultural events. Maybe even a virtual reality vacation on a Titanic cruise.

It’s crazy how well Jack makes these animations, you can almost think it’s real life instead of a animation. Can’t wait to see what the real time sinking will look like

What animations?? You mean moving a boat forward? Honestly though there are nothing but basic linear keyframes used throughout this entire clip. I'm sure Jack is capable of much more than what this scene requires animation wise but we'll have to wait and see it in the actual sinking.

@@cptairwolf 3d animation is hardly just key framing though. There's also camera movement, lighting, particle effects, etc that go into it (plus whatever post-processing you do to the rendering, music, etc to get to the final video). And that's to say nothing of the process of creating the models in the first place, even if they are largely static models.

I couldn’t agree with ya more man! The truth of history being re-written and the fact of real the ship itself actually is in this to where this isn’t a game at all, but it is at the same time, says a lot that lots of those don’t understand that this was truly more than a ship, this was pure history that a we all never got to see way back in the day but wish to really have seen the world’s luxurious ship at the time. There will be no other development team that’s recreating this and it’s been 10+ years in the making! I say this someone’s gotta get this out to the media immediately when it gets to the final release and let the world know that there is finally a real titanic virtually for everyone to explore and learn about the ship!

Absolutely superb evocation of her departure from Southampton. The sparkling sea has been with me all my life and you captured it beautifully. The final scene at Cherbourg is the real heart breaker and it's great to see Nomadic lying alongside Titanic. Visit Belfast, step aboard Nomadic and remember that final closing scene. My only gripe is the animation of the gulls. Less flapping of wings and more gliding and wheeling would be more accurate. Well done and thank you for your dedication.

..Every single time they release a cinematic Titanic historical moment animation video. . .I get very much emotional....The background music stirs my feelings... ..There're so many times I've seen these moments looking at those b&w stills from 1912...And only imagined to myself what it was like watching her sailing through the water. .standing on the Southampton dock in person !....And now with these videos, I can really see her moving. .& the animated visuals turns out far more mesmerizing. .even beyond my imaginations...This tells you what UE5 is capable of creating & so is this tremendously talented artist... "Well. .you have a gift Jack. .you do. . .you see every minute detail" ..Kyle Hudak's exterior Titanic model is incomparable....Also, Tino Thoss & Jealous Statement have done an excellent job !!!👌🏼👌🏼👏🏼💚💛....Each & every work done by the most talented THG guyz. .are truly unmatchable...They're THE BEST. .to my humblest opinion....These people are literally on their way building a virtual time machine for us & the next generations eventually... #nevergiveup 👍🏼 ..The only thing I'm missing in this phenomenally beautiful animation is, her near collision [ by only 4 feet ] sequence with the American vessel SS City of New York...It's also a significant historical moment during her departure from Southampton dock that very day....She even got nearly 1hr late because of that...Hope it'll be added in the upgraded version of this animation in future...Lots of love... . 💚💚💚💙💛🙏🏼

Unlike what most think the Titanic never got as much attention and publicity. The reason? The Olympic; she was named after the superliner class she belonged to and then she was the older sistership which in turn means she was launched first she was delivered first and she sailed first. By the time the Titanic sailed it was all old news.

You know what’s depressing? I completely forgot about my birthday and it’s now today that I return to KZbin seeking the ship that ultimately became a part of my childhood…beautiful work, Honour and Glory. Beautiful work ❤️

This was beautifully done. Maybe they could make a special video of the near collision with the New York.

Beautifully done. I've never seen an animation anything like this before. It feels like being there watching it take place. Great work!!!!
