Thank you for the great video! I have the same stove. I burned it in the first time at dusk and got the pipe a dull red color at the bottom. Next time I rotated the pipe so the opposite end was at the bottom. With both ends heat tempered the pipe easily takes the shape needed.

That's a really great design, folds down so flat 🔥👌 I did have a thought about the chimney assembly, how about using a long stick as a rolling aid? Thanks again Wade and take care mate 👍 🙂

Hi Mike good idea using a stick! I used a piece of pvc tubing, it went pretty easily actually. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

That's what I did. I used a broom handle to roll the chimney up with, went fast.

I’ve never seen the Danchel stove before but I have seen the Winnerwell Fastfold and the Pomoly and Woods Walker (Yes! There is one that uses your name lol) iterations. Danchel looks like they might have debugged some of the issues many complained about with the Pomoly design. The roll up chimney is what I’m most curious about. I’m looking forward to your full review because I respect your opinion.

Does your spark arrestor still have the narrow slots (approx 1/8”-3/16” wide)? If it does keep a close eye on it, they plug up easily…
@Woodswalker19653 жыл бұрын
Thanks brother, I will. It looks like at least 3/16🔥🔥

Thanks for sharing this Wade. I was looking at this stove this fall but with the move, I really didn't want to order something to go to the wrong house. Looking forward to a more in depth review. Question: Do you really need two people to assemble the pipe? I plan to solo a lot so if it's really difficult, I might look for an alternative pipe option.
@Woodswalker19653 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Two people is a good idea the first time you roll the chimney. After you burn it in it rolls up very easily. Any stove with this style of chimney will be the same.
@MarkYoungBushcraft3 жыл бұрын
Review well done Wade. I lie the look of the stove. Do you feel it would benefit from an ash grate?
@Woodswalker19653 жыл бұрын
Yes it probably would. I will may add one as I use it a few times. 👍🔥
@billsimpson18763 жыл бұрын
Looks like a great idea, not convinced on the execution, given the price point. The door & hinge especially seemed not robust,and poorly mounted and sealed, from your footage. $500 on amazon at the moment, you have access to a lot of choice at that $$ range. I'll be interested to hear how you like it after some use, for now I'll stay with my DIY 5gal bucket stove.

Pretty cool. I had no idea there are foldable models of those stoves. I never checked them out because i always was a little unsure if they are really safe and secure (especially are they really sealed against carbon monoxide). I am looking forward to the experiences you'll make with
@Woodswalker19653 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, I believe these are safe if you have a proper chimney and fresh air coming in. I will probably get a carbon monoxide detector though. 👍

Is that mountaineering cord or 550 cord on your spark arrester? I've a similar titanium stove with the exact spark arrester. How much did you use in total, approximately in the spark arrester cordage? Thanks for sharing. Great content & video.👍
@Woodswalker19653 жыл бұрын
I used 550 and I used about 15 ft per loop. It gave me some extra. I'm sure I will dial it in later. Thanks for watching my friend 👍
