If anyone is questioning why I gave Charlie the Chess Cat (check him out on Instagram 🙃) priority over my game with Kramnik, it's pretty simple. Charlie is a 21-year-old cat and a good mate, whilst chess online is a laugh and at the same time a load of bollocks. So of course the cat takes priority! Anyone with a cat will understand... 😆 Time code 19:35 to check it out. I've played and beaten World Champions before, no big deal.

No question of who gets priority here. Charlie every time !!

Haha. I loved seeing Charlie. That's pretty amazing 21 yrs old. My boxer is 12. My cat Alice is a shit. Loved how you explained to charlie who you were playing. He was keeping your priorities straight
@Wilco1143 ай бұрын
Off course Charlie gets priority. I'm curious if Charlie gets the same age as the cat I had, it achieved the incredible age of 23 (and 21 is already incredible). All the best to Charlie!

Love the sainsburys story. Reminds me of when I worked for Ladbrokes at Elland road on match days, in the executive box encouraging the suits to place bets. They had free flow drinks and my break was during the match, since you couldn't place bets in play. So I went back to the box during my break and one of the executives said to me, "Let's have a bet. I drink a bottle of beer every time Leeds get a corner, you drink one every time PNE get one." PNE proceeded to get many consecutive corners and the rest is history. They never put me in the box again though!

Sargis Sargisyan's play was suspicious, no way a 2200 rated FM knows 20 moves of theory in an obscure line (that Simon has played a lot and knows most lines very well) and confidently plays f4 in seconds. Possibly was getting assistance for some of the moves.

I can an understand an FM knowing a sideline in the Sicilian pretty well. If it was a sideline in the Dutch defence and they play perfect opening that would be more suss to me than this.

When I win a game of chess, I move onto the next game. When I lose a game of chess, I experience pain and it’s very hard for me to just move onto the next game. When I watch Simon Williams and he loses, again I feel pain! But with him, that ability to lose and move onto the next game and play at the same high level, that is just amazing to me.

Why start playing around with the cat during a game against Kramnik? Is it to provide an excuse in advance for losing? I've been following this channel for a few years and I love it, but I do feel that Simon sometimes decides he's going to lose before he even starts, when confronted with higher-rated opponents.
@danjeory36593 ай бұрын
swear to god some of these are cheats. Why was one of them taking so long on obvious moves in a clearly winning position and then starts playing crap when his clock starts getting low? Gutted you blundered when you thought it was 3xfold...
