Probably didn’t have health insurance because pro wrestling doesn’t have a union. It all comes back to Hogan. He could have done so much more for the guys. Instead he’s gotta pose for 15 minutes after having the same match he’s had the last 30 years.

I do. Lots of em. Haven't cared about wresting at all since 2000.. now it fascinates me. From the beginning, people rolling around like a circus of sorts, scheming on peoples money, to territorial leagues to the consolidation of territories into 2 big ones (sorta). Then the 2 become 1... it really is a magical story.. rowdy Roddy pipers life story was heart breaking. Dusty Rhosed being Gold Dust and Seven and his speech.. Sting ran a gym in Cali and ultimate warrior came by a few times, sting was looking into the wrestling business and took warrior as a partner. They only wanted sting but he wouldn't leave warrior. Who was an egotistical asshole.. so they took both.. so many amazing stories.. Kane was wrestling before he was kane... Ted debiose brought stone cold Austin, undertaker, and a bunch of legends... it amazes me having the stories of all these people who were in territories and then seeing how the company came together.. it really fascinates me..

COUNTLESS examples... Shawn michaels just happened to be the most hilarious. 2005.. "Hogans whole life is a work" -kevin Nash. Watch the "shoot" from the ultimate warrior. Hogan gave rookies drugs to keep em docile and him in control... Terry Boreis is a selfish person.. period. Likely worse than flair.. who is equated to a human trashbag. Horrible racist old men.. and I don't mean that in the new altered meaning kind of way. I mean literally. I'm also totally accountable for my own actions and don't allow others to make decisions for me.. Hogan was selfish and ruined 2 companies for his own personal gain.. including the greatest underdog of all time.. MACHO MAN !!! Hogan invited Elizabeth to live with him and his wife and got her drinking and on drugs. Which lead where it lead. I dont mean its his fault but influence isn't easily resisted by everyone. Ya know? For anyone that grew up watching WWF/WWE. I was quite young when Bad News Brown was working in WWF and from what I remember, he typically was a jobber, losing to almost everyone. This interview gives some great inside information on what happens to wrestlers in the business which some can relate to in their own lives. Sometimes we get promises but get sold short or just blatantly lied to. Screw you Vinnie Mac Jr, lol. I have new respect for Bad News. If I was a wrestler travelling around the country and globe, I would want someone like him as a friend, as he isn't full of BS and tells it how it is.

He was great. I believe he went under the name "Bad News Alan Coage'' when I first saw him in the early 80s. A man is only as good as his word. Vince really did, in my opinion, bring real wrestling fans down. Territories were great.

The world has been a lesser place since Bad News Brown died. What a great storyteller. A smart guy, great presence, good in ring performer - he would have been great at any point in wrestling history. He would have been perfect for the NWA in the 80's, but he also would have been great during the Attitude Era. He was timeless and above trends. He kind of had a Stone Cold thing going on, too (a badass who didn't like anyone). So great. And his potential was completely wasted by Vince. What a shame.

This dude is a phenomenal storyteller. I'm so sorry hes gone and being a wrestling fan since the 1970s is very upsetting because so many of the people I watched admired and looked up to are dead. Bad News Allen was 63 years old when he died and I'm 63 years old now. Being a wrestling fan for about 50 years has been very exciting for me but also very upsetting. Also upsetting how Vinny Mac and his family are billionaires several times over and they keep firing talent. That is disgusting. That would be like Warren Buffett or Bill Gates firing people. The McMahon's just got a billion dollars from the Peacock network they are set for the next 150 fucking years.

This guy was too real for the business. Great dude. I'm from NYC and I remember some MSG shows and he'd get on the house mic and talk about how he'd walked to the Garden from Harlem (a hell of a walk for anyone at any time but NYC was a little rough in those days especially in harlem and the vicinity of MSG up to times sq and the west village and east village have always been wild) and it was just great. Guy doesn't get enough credit I feel

Bad News Brown is 100% one of the best bad guys ever. I always wondered where he went. It's disappointing he ended up leaving because he could have made more money working at a grocery store. Vince McMahon truly did mess up the wrestling industry in the 21st century, which is ironic considering McMahon helped wrestling have one of it's Golden Eras in the 1980s.

I enjoyed Bad News for the most part. Some now claim he should have been champ, was underrated and so on. But some just are not meant to be the top name. Brown was versatile in that he could work just about anywhere on the card. I can’t imagine the top company putting him in charge of selling those tickets, though.
