What in the hell is Black Bart talking about? He keeps contradicting himself and is possibly the most discursive conversationalist I’ve seen in theses shoot videos! He must have had a bit too much Moonshine before his interview.

29:30 this is very true. I know a couple people that would party with Flair back in the 80s/90s when he would come to their hotel. The man loved to party, and would invite people all the time.

people never realize just how much fame changes people, one minute you are eating spam sandwiches and counting change to get to the next match and the next thing you know women are throwing their panties at you on the way back to the dressing room. It takes alot of character to stay humble and not lose sight of who you really are. Not to mention the excesses you see around you and your buddies are all doing drugs and drinking and the women. I met Michael PS Hayes in the Dallas airport, i was 14 at the time so this was around 1985. I was in there playing street fighter on my way home for the Christmas Holidays and this person said, "hey man can i play you ?", i looked up and it was Hayes, he was really cool and played a game or two with me and signed a napkin i had at the time. He did not have to do that but he made a fan for life, great guy with a huge heart. Bless you Michael Hayes for being a bigger then life role model to a 14 year old boy!

I couldn’t understand a single thing that he was talking about! Either he drank a lot of moonshine before the interview or he’s had one too many chair shots to the head. Maybe he was just born with a brain cell deficiency. It could be all three. Regardless, he is the most discursive conversationalist I’ve ever seen in these shoot interviews.

He was pushed hard and fast because of his amazing body and at first, he didn't know how to wrestle properly. You have to trust the other guy with literally your life in this business and lex didn't understand that you have to really look out for the guy doing a job for you. Later in life, lexx really got humbled and I couldn't be prouder of the emotional progress he has made. The tradegy of miss Elizabeth and his crippling injuries....he could have been another tale of woe in the industry, but he tries to warn people about drugs and alcohol and he is very giving of his time to fans.

I agree 💯%. Back in the early days Ric didn't have the same matches every night.....but anyways people want to say Ric Flair had the same matches every night well I can say that Hulk Hugan pretty much had the same matches every night he would always point that big finger at you and shake it and the opponent would hit Hulk Hogan 5 or 6 times and wouldn't even hurt Hogan and then Hogan would do the big leg drop it was the same moves over and over. And really Hogan never really wrestled in his matches as long as Ric Flair did ...but whatever people gonna say anything.

Ric Flair is a class act period, he was big on comoradary between the boys. Didnt matter if you were midcard or top didn't matter Ric always wanted to include everyone, he treated everyone with respect if you were one of the boys! Nowadays its a shadow of what it used to be, the boys don't even travel together really anymore, nobody watches each others match they are backstage playing PS4 or Xbox or they shower and get the hell out of there once their spot is over, not critiscm or helping out other guys or girls on what they could do different or what looked good and they should roll with no those days are gone

I was thinking about these wrestling shoot interviews, about wrestlers from years and years ago. And how interesting they are, and I thought to myself. Why is that? I think I might have the answer, these shoot interviews are interesting in the same way as you see old Beetle interviews about each other. And bands similar to that, they’re shoot interviews in the same right. Could that possibly be why we find them so interesting? I mean, think of the subjects. A name like Ric Flair in the wrestling community is a name like John Lennon when you think of iconic names in Music. Well, maybe Ringo. But still, two iconic names. Ric Flair. Ringo.

@Wrestling content yeah when it comes to wrestling I'd rather be stuck in the past than the crap they have today over scripted bullshit McMahon is destroying the sport on purpose he has become hateful towards the sport that built his wealth. That was his intention when he took the company public to destroy wrestling and jam as much money in his pockets as he could before he set it on fire. Not one wrestler from the 70's 80's and 90's think that there is any talent in wrestling today they are right there isn't Orton and Cena are the last 2 and they are being treated like jokes and they are allowing it.

He’s a good guy underneath. I met him at the Hilton hotel in Harrisburg Pennsylvania after they did the show at Hershey Park ArenaI think it was a Saturday Nights Main Event. I don’t remember who he wrestled that night... it might’ve been Savage ... Regardless, I walked up to him and introduced myself and asked him how long he had been wrestling. He initially asked me if I was writing a book and I turned my back on him and walked over and watched the band on stage. He eventually walked up to me with a beer and handed it to me and started a conversation. I don’t think he was trying to be cocky or arrogant, I just think he was trying to keep up his heel appearance in the face of a wrestling fan. After he talked to me and realized I was going to Wrestling school at the time, we had a nice conversation. He was very cordial and when I didn’t realize at the time is when I went up to him he was standing right next to Ted Dibiase, and I didn’t even recognize it and then when I woke up the next day I realized who it was and I felt horrible. Regardless, it was still that kind of time in the industry where everybody thought it was real. After he realized that I was getting into the business, he lightened up and talked to me for a bit. It was a nice night. Something I’ll never forget. That was like 1992 or something. Whenever he was in WWF. What I hear, he very often will walk into a bar and buy the entire bar drinks all night. Seems like a very genuine guy, especially now that the business has been exposed.

What people don't seem to understand 😒 is this era sucks compared to the late 80's hell even that shit McMahon was pushing from 1993 to 1996 was better then the shit they offer now. Flair, Dusty, Arn, Sting, Hart, Michaels all were wrestling legends even back then in their primes. These shit today is why less and less people watch they don't make stars anymore and they run stupid BS stuff.

Which one? Because there was a "Gashouse" Doug Gilbert who enjoyed WWWF Undercard success in The Sixties in addition to Doug Gilbert, Eddie's brother, who appeared frequently in The USWA years of Memphis and very early on in the infancy of ECW. And Eddie's Brother Doug appeared in one "Royal Rumble" in "The Attitude Era."🤔🎤🎼🎸🤼‍♂️B.W.

Yes he did. Ric Flair broke his back in 3 different places in Wilmington North Carolina and that's why he always did the Flair flop. I lived 30 minutes away from Wilmington N.C. I was born in New Hanover County city of Wilmington so yeah I know for a fact that this happened.... Greg Valentine lied about Ric Flair never broke his back. I guess he was upset that Ric was a bigger draw for money and not himself.

@@matthewvarnam4302 Bam Bam was a great big guy who was agile and a great wrestler, I cannot judge him for his actions out of the ring, but the last major thing he was remembered for was getting seriously burned saving life's?, Think he also had a lot of serious injuries which contributed to his issues he had. As for talking trash, he didn't, he told Flair to grow up which is exactly right, Flashing your knob whilst pissed up etc.

Bitter comments from a has been who never did much with his career. WCW died because of Flair? LOL. WCW was burying Flair when they started to go downhill. Two things killed WCW: 1) never building up the young talent that they had (Austin, Jericho, and others...were in WCW but made it big in WWE); 2) the ran the NWO angle way too long and fans got bored.

What's weird about Manny Fernandez is you have to specify which one. There are a Professional Journalist, A Hockey Player, and a member of The 1972 Super Bowl Champion Miami Dolphins who go by that name. Very ironically the Pro Wrestler Manny Fernandez feuded very violently in The AWA with Wahoo McDaniel who made a name for himself in The AFL days with the selfsame Dolphins before he became a Pro Wrestler!🤔😂🎤🏒🏈📰🐬🤼‍♂️B.W.

Well really Ric Flair has said that he never had to work a day in his life cause hid mom and dad left him so much money well when he became Ric Flair that we all know and love he develop this high maintenance of lifestyle and being divorced 4 or 5 times well all of that would make a man go broke very fast....if he had never gotten divorced and actually lived that lifestyle outside of the ring he wouldn't be broke.......but anyways Ric Flair is doing pretty good now plus he's got a clothing line out and another thing called The Ric Flair drip so the man is making money again.

Ric Flair will always be the measuring stick for World Champions. But as time passes he will fade with time. Just like Lou Thez, Dorsey Funk jr., Jack Brisco, Bruno, Harley, Billy, Bob, The Iron Shiek. They’ll all be lost to time. But for those who know and were there Ric Flair was always worth the price of admission.

I agree with you in terms of 80s and 90s wrestling history, but The Undertaker came and dominated the early 90s WWF into 3 nearly 4 decades. It looks like Roman R. is getting his run now. If WWE can’t find the next big Star; possibly Austin Theory. Roman might break the Main Event record. Time will tell.
