I think this is the first time anyone has referred to Dynamite Kid as "a little bulldog". 🤣🤣 Love the Hammer. Such a good worker. On a roster with so many giant egos, having a guy as reliable as Greg made him worth his weight in gold.

I understand Greg was a heel and it’s a work and all, but am i the only one who’s completely surprised at how nice of a guy he is?
@ATMyles7 ай бұрын
I always think that when I see these interviews. I don’t remember him as anything but a heel when I was a kid, and he came off like a real (tough) SOB. Out of the ring, seems like a totally down to earth, cool guy.

I met him in 1983/84 as an 11/12 year old at a local high school show in Bellport, NY. Tito Santana gave me the no mas BS for autographs and I was upset looking depressed. From across the gym, Rocky Johnson saw the whole thing happen, pulled me over and made a life long, lasting positive impression on me as to how a celebrity really should treat fans. Hammer came over and gave me a hug. Super nice guys and still remember it like yesterday, 40+ years later.

Its feels like a privilege to have The Hammer still with us, not that he's super old but so many wrestlers pass away young. I like him in his yellow boots. Really cool.

Greg gives the best shoot interviews. Dan Spivey is a great person. I asked him to talk with a bunch of troubled school kids. Dan jumped right in and did an EXCELLENT job. Dangerous Dan the Left Hand Man, you are AWESOME!!!!
@JaceyMitchell2 ай бұрын
Yeah some people have tried to paint Dan Spivey as a bully over the years, but I don't think he ever picked on anyone who didn't have it coming. As much as I love Adrian Adonis' work especially before the adorable gimmick, the man was totally coked out by the end of his life and took liberties with people. I also met Dan a couple times, and he's always a total gentleman. Just a really good guy.

@@george.s.8491 When you meet a wrestler, I think it’s safe to assume that one expects to see a certain level of energy and personality from the wrestler, and Greg just doesn’t give you that energy or personality. The way he was talking here is basically the way he spoke when I met him, with the same tone and the same level of energy, and just all in all it seemed to scream out that he would have rather been somewhere else, and was only at the appearance to get paid. For example, a friend was with me the first time I met Greg, and my friend had spent the last of his money to get a DVD set that Greg was in (we met him at an indoor flea market, so something like that wasn’t hard to come by). Greg responded, “If you buy a picture, I’ll sign that”, which I can understand, since he was there to make money, but he said it with the exact same tone and lack of energy as you see here. My friend had his infant son with him that day and left his son with me while he went to the ATM, and to be funny, he told me he would pay Greg $50 to kick my butt if I didn’t watch his son, and Greg said, “No I won’t”, in the same exact tone and lack of energy. Had I been in his position, I would have glared at the person tasked with watching the kid and said, “You heard him! I’ve got my eye on you!” But we didn’t get that level of personality from Greg, and the second time didn’t go any better, but at least there were other wrestlers who showed up both times. The first time, April Hunter and Koko B. Ware also showed up, and the second time, Honky Tonk Man and “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan were also there, all of whom seemed like they wanted to meet fans. Honky Tonk Man and Hacksaw, in particular, displayed the same personality and energy level I was hoping to see, which made meeting them fun.

Hammer is my favorite wrestler to listen to. He's such a nice respectful man. I'd love to just sit down and talk about stuff, not just wrestling. He seems like a real, life, experienced dude. Who never has a bad thing to say about anyone. An attitude lots of people should strive to be like. The comment section I'm sure someone will 💩 on my comment. But in a world of social media it's what I've come to respect. But anyone who disagrees with me that Greg is a champion at shoot interviews it's your attitude and opinion that's 💩
