@@fuegodibiase5831 Quincy's contribution to those albums is very overrated considering what we've heard from Michael's demos (recorded before he gave the songs to Quincy). Listen to them, they'll surprise you. Michael did more than just 'sing and dance', he was heavily involved in the production of his biggest hits and wrote most of them himself. Look at the credits for OTW and Thriller, most of the hits were the ones Michael had a hand in formulating. Quincy had almost nothing to do with Billie Jean, which is objectively Michael's greatest track - in fact they got into an argument because Quincy had so little to do with that song that Michael didn't think he should have 'co-producing' credit.

You guys were awesome I grew up watching you guys on the Jackson 5 animated cartoon series. but I was a huge fan of Michael. I also had the pleasure of meeting your nephew Geppetto Jackson. He’s got the talent also. He’s really very good. I loved it when you guys did the Jacksons victory tour with Mick Jagger. When you guys did state of shock. That was one of the best songs I’ve ever heard and I believe that was in the 1980s. Let me just say to you Tito. MJ had a lot of Judas in his life! They destroyed him! When social media doesn't exist Michael was a global icon! He was a game-changer in music, dance and music video entertainment! He was a philanthropist and a fashion icon! Generations after him can't comprehend how big Michael was! Michael Jackson fulfilled his purpose on earth! He shared every blessing he had; his talent, his kindness, his money! He wasn't perfect but most misunderstood! He was a good Samaritan yet most betrayed, he was too nice yet most bullied! He simply had a golden heart with kids because back in the 90’s in my country he spent his time and energy on underprivileged/sick kids but to donate more that's a great calling to his sincere heart! To God in heaven I give thanks for creating a masterpiece human being Michael Jackson!

+Ö - W II T N E S S - Ö The reason people stress the "Thriller" album more is because of the timing. Timing on how Thriller was the first album by a Black artist to be shown on MTV, if you weren't alive, you have no idea how significant this bit of information made the difference. Personally I think Thriller is a better album because of "Lady In My Life", which is the dopest song Michael Jackson ever had!

Thank you. I was a little disappointed in Tito's commercial response but to each his own.
@nunonunes0977 жыл бұрын
Lovell Cohen I also prefer Off The Wall album but the reason for why Thriller is greater goes beyond what anyone today can imagine. Thriller didn't just "reach a wider audience". That is a gigantic understatement. Thriller broke so many barriers that it's success is iconic for a globalized world. Beginning on the racial barriers in America, it was played in TV channels such as MTV in which there had never played black music. It popularized black culture around the world, as in Japan for example, in a way NO ONE could previously do, not even the greatest like the king of soul James Brown etc. Im using Japan as an example but in continental European countries it was like a presentation of not only American culture, but African American culture. It was so successful that (most non-black) people didn't call it black american music anymore, they just called it American music because everyone wanted to be a little part of (and proud of) Thriller as if it were of their own. It also set a completely new standard to the way music videos are made until today in a way that Off The Wall didn't. In the production of 99% of music videos today you can see the influence of the work of Michael Jackson and the ones who produced the music videos in thriller have. The dance moves Michael brought and improved from Off The Wall and also added in Thriller also set a new standard for entertainment that has not been beat and honestly I think is unbeatable. No one will ever do it like MJ. No one. I wish someone did but I know no one will. And of course what we all know, that it's the most sold album of all times, at its peak selling 1 million albums per WEEK. It didn't just reach a lot of people, it influenced people's ways of thinking and acting. And I think, given the cicumstances and the times it were, it makes it even more important that it was an album made by two black men. That is "unmeasurably" big. We should be ever grateful to Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones.

AND so when we moved from Indiana to California... we were so fascinated... and we were young... and we were so fascinated with palm trees and mountains... moving to California was a dream come true (3:03)... Motown rented a house for us and we had a swimming pool (3:12)... YESSSSS! Ladies and gentleman, keep on dreaming and working to make them a reality!!!

I remember Thriller when I was 6 and my mom bought 2. I remember Motown 25 the whole neighborhood shut down like a block party. When MJ did the Moon Walk everybody screamed.... Drake selling 2 mill is part popcorn the way MJ did it... Do your research. ..

Off the wall, Thriller, and Bad are all classics. His best work was with Quincy Jones and it was a big mistake when Michael left him. All those records the Neptunes gave Timberlake was meant for MJ but he passed. Those records would have brought the old MJ back. Now with the internet nobody will ever match thriller. Artists are barely hitting gold sales. Last album that went diamond was Adele in 2011. Michael and Quincy Jones are the GOAT.

Funny you said that because Vlad interviewed Lord Jamar and he said the same thing. Jamar said blacks did not love Thriller as much as they did Off the Wall. I was only baby when this stuff came out but I recall Thriller being very popular. It seems to me that after Thriller MJ's music became more pop like and not quite as soulful but still pretty good in my opinion. Am I accurate on this tell me what you think?

...how terrible! Tito worked his butt off just like the rest of them. just because he wasnt a front runner, dancing and cutting a rug like the others, he was still an integral part of the group!! All 5 of them played an important role and made a cohesive act!!! He was a very talented self-taught musician and sang back up ...and people aren't giving him any credit, when they ALL put work in...of course Mike was the lead singer, so he worked even harder, but they all toured constantly around the world year after year, traveled on the roads, rehearsed tirelessly, wrote songs, spent time in the studios, etc etc!! I used to think that way and only Micheal mattered in my eyes, but I started watching J5 videos and performances and they ALL worked hard!!!!! Without question Mike was a bad mofo, but they were a group they all deserve to be acknowledged for 2 decades of hard work. just becuz he was more low key, doesn't mean he didn't do anything ...that's really terrible!!

Tito is going off on sales of Thriller. Off the Wall is Michael's best work. the production, range, writing. Black people can't dance to the entire album of Thriller, but "Off The Wall" you can't stop moving. One song after the other. Hands down Off The Wall is Michael Jackson's best work.

I also prefer Off The Wall album but the reason for why Thriller is greater goes beyond what anyone today can imagine.

I'm just dying to hear those unreleased MJ records produced by Quincy Jones. They milk our pockets by releasing a few a time throwing them on re releases as special editions as bonus tracks. A lost tapes/sessions album needs to be released asap.

I remember hearing when Michael's hair caught fire, the brother that he called to help him was the one he felt closest to, TITO, without delay! Tito seems so even tempered!
