My Daddy always said you could tell a person's character by the way they treat animals and how animals react around them. It has held true for me. If I had applied that truth earlier in my life so many bad people could have been avoided. Never bought an animal. They just show up at my door. You have a huge heart and it shows. It's great to see so many animals sharing home space. My rescue cat Stink spoke to me, literally, at the rescue shelter. My border collie german shepherd girl Jezebel picked me later. Stink loved a 4 ft ball python I pet sat. He hugged and kissed One Eyed Fiona the snake and surprized me with his acceptance. Over the years Jezebel and Stink have been loyal and loving, my boy and girl. Everyone in my neighbourhood knows Jezebel. She's a sweet girl and makes me understand that our pets love us unconditionally. Sharing that love makes it easy to extend to our fellow humans in this crazy time. Love each other as we love our pets. Namaste

No, he isn't. He has obese raccoons in a house and a cat so obese it sits on a cushion all day. Most of these animals are procured from pet stores. Pet store animals are supplied via pet mills, where animals undergo immense suffering and dying in droves. Which is why one of his ferrets dropped dead. Every litter does not have a ferret who dies, this is sick pet store animals. He's supporting this and promoting this. He's irresponsible and cruel.

When my husband and I met we each had a ferret. When we moved into together we had eight cats, 2 ferrets, and a dog. Our dogs are Belgian malinois, shepherds are the best! Now we have 7 cats, 3 dogs, and a raccoon. We’ve also had rabbits, birds, rats, turtle, fish, and an injured toad. Animal rescue is the best and you guys are awesome!

I used to raise German Shepherds. Luna is very pretty and playful like mine once were (RIP). I also had Basset Hounds and one Black Lab mix. Had a tabby cat and one Guinea Pig. This was all after I got married. We had a total of 8 dogs at any one time. I love and miss each one. After my divorce I adopted a mother raccoon, her babies and two baby opossum. The latter were outside animals. The former were inside and tore the house to shreds! How do you manage? I would have had a nervous breakdown by now. I never had any children so my animals were my babies. They are better than kids, but just as expensive. Keep up the videos. I love the animal antics. Great fun!!

I have a grey cat named Daniel (I call him Dan Man) and he luckily didn't have as bad a story as your Dan but we found him 2 summers ago just constantly outside our house. We didn't think he had a home as he never left ours so after a week of seeing him outside we took him to the vet and he had no chip and no one seemed to be looking for him so we took him in and I don't understand at all why someone would dump him. I'm glad they didn't hurt him too bad and he found his way to us tho. Also I love the way your Dan eats human food it's very cute.

I have a formerly obese cat that has been on “diet” food for years. Eventually, she could no longer tolerate it and I tried Rachel Ray’s Nutrish. It’s been like a Keto diet fir her. The excess weight came off fast. She felt satisfied, so didn’t eat as much. After having a chubby girl for so long, i was freaked out to feel her bones! Had her thoroughly checked by her vet and she is completely healthy. She is more playful and sleeps less. … guess I’ll have to get on Keto to keep up with her! 😬 Anyway, it might help your chubby white kitty.

I understand why people complain and say these creatures should be free etc, but after seeing the permanent hardships some wild animals go through (kangaroos, wombats and echidna in my case) I can't help thinking that Tito has a very good life. No extreme hunger, thirst or wet freezing conditions waiting to take you at the first sign of weakness. Unless you see this (and share the extremes) on a day to day basis it is very easy to imagine 'freedom' as some kind of surreal Bambi scene. Nobody is suggesting taking animals from the wild but domestication isn't the villain people like to make out it is.

Wowza! U are living the dream! I have all rescues myself. I have much much cat experience. I have a 14yo with mast cancer, diabetes and renal failure and a rumpy manx thats 12 with hemolytic anemia. Its takes a loving heart and giving soul to love animals. They are family. I have an american eskimo dog thats 12. Plus my many wild raccoon friends and possums. Life is much more fuller with all of them in it. U r doing a wonderful thing! Education is key! Thanks for this channel! U ans sarah r a blessing.

Bunny!!!! Now we’re talking! My pet of choice thru out my life. Feed it plenty of hay, more than pellets. Oxbow is a good brand. Was anyway when I had rabbits. They need the hay for their teeth and digestive systems, they chew differently when eating the hay vs pellets, helps their teeth since they don’t stop growing, I also fed my rabbits organic salads which they loved a lot, mainly spring mix with a few match stix carrots. Don’t give them treats or sugar, it’s just not good for them and make sure it’s fixed, especially if it’s a female as they are prone to uterine cancer, males tend to be more chill I’ve noticed than females in my experience anyway, no people food! Their digestive tracts are very sensitive. Definitely brush them regularly when they shed and keep an eye on their nails and teeth, some rabbits are genetically prone to tooth problems. They can be prone to hairballs like cats but they can’t usually pass them like cats can so it can actually kill them. I let mine roam free after potty training, but obviously had to rabbit proof the house, both of my last 2 were rescues. Crazy stories on both. I used to volunteer at a shelter, I miss that. I know a ton about them as I’ve learned over the yrs so if you have any questions, let me know, so many people don’t know how to properly take care of them. One of my rabbits really loved our rescue cats, the cats didn’t care for him though, I felt bad for him. You could tell he was legitimately sad he had no one to play or snuggle with but that never stopped him from trying, thank goodness one of our cats was chill and would tolerate him at times, that made Charlie happy. I have so many funny pics of them all. This was before smart phones though unfortunately. He posed for pics believe or or not, he actually came in 3rd place for an aspca cute animal contest, he allowed me to pimp him out. He had such an awesome personality. More like a human, like your cat that loves people food, that was Charlie to a tee. All he had to hear was a wrapper or the fridge opening from across the house and he would coming running at Olympic speed, so fast he couldn’t stop himself on the slippery floors and would keep on sliding past us or the fridge, he was only allowed his salads and pellets/hay regardless of his insane human food cravings. Forgot how he was allowed outside on a harness and leash and loved dandelions. He used my ex’es bald spot for a salt stick lol. As soon as he would come home from work, Charlie would jump up on the couch and get behind his head and start licking away, my ex worked outside all day so he got sweaty and charlie somehow sniffed it out. Gross I know but funny lol. I have a picture of him in action doing it somewhere. I had 2 bonded pairs of rabbits at one point before that, and an albino netherland dwarf after them. One set of the bonded pairs had babies which was a surprise as I was told they were the same sex. Working at a pet store when I was young, had my room in high school filled to the brim. You are living my dream, I got sick though and am chronically ill now, only in my 30’s so I can’t have pets anymore 😢 I’d had them my whole life til I got sick and my last bun bun passed in 2013, the year I got sick. Now I feed outdoor coons, birds, squirrels. The coons come to the door each night. Some of the same ones have been coming for 2 yrs now, those ones have names. I can hand feed some, it’s been interesting to watch them go thru all 4 seasons now. I went from 1 to 5 coons in 18 to like prolly 30 last summer once the moms I thought were males at first, brought their babies all in the same week here! My dad was about to kill me, most had 3-4 per litter, so I’ve gotten to see babies the last few yrs, coming up on my 3rd season soon, I can’t imagine how many I will have this year, oi. Mom’s are crabby right now, just like last year, I’m afraid my neighbors are gonna eventually call me in, they know I feed them and said they don’t care but idk that I trust that, some of them especially in higher numbers here don’t like each other and will fight despite the amt of food scattered and 4-5 good sized water bins. They never get mean with me, they are actually very gentle with me and will only eat from me, they recognize real quick a new face or a new smell in the room if someone is back here and it freaks them out, so I feel blessed that they trust me only. They sense my “I love animals vibe”. Anyway, I had no idea you had so many animals, if I wasn’t sick, had money and a partner that loved animals as much as I do, I would have a house just like yours. Jealous. This was always my dream, ever since I was a toddler. No joke. To work with animals somehow when I grew up. And ferrets are awesome, I had a boyfriend in highschool that had one and I was like this thing is a freak, lol, the way it would hop all over the place and act like it was on speed haha. When you spoke of hedgehogs and their short lifespans (3-5 yrs) it made me think of my pet rats(one of the most surprising pets I've ever had! They're super intelligent as well, but they only average 2 years of life so they're incredibly heartbreaking... Once I got a pair(only get rats in pairs because of their sociable nature's) I ended up being the guy everyone gave their rats to once they were down to one of a pair, so I ended up with 9 in total(5 males, and 4 ladies!!!)... Anyway, I think in another 4-5 years I'll be through grieving (or I'll have forgotten the pain of losing one!?!) And I'll start raising more Rat friends... Animals are amazing!!! I think that animals and music are the best things life has to offer!!!

You're right! Rats are truly amazing. I began with 7 rats, already hat up to 8 rats and never had less than 5. Still they surprise me everyday with their very different personalities. My most favourite rat came from a shelter where she lived since birth for 1,5 years. Unfortunately she died due to heart disease, but she will always be that one very special rattie. I never regret sharing my life with these amazing animals.

I've six cats and a rottweiler, two are siameses, and the others are all adopted. And it's interesting to me how easily one can tell when a pet its being well taken care of by just looking at their fur, because a well cared for pet will have a shiny, clean and soft fur. Growing up with animals its amazing, you learn a lot of things and to appreciate them.

Loved this video. I love all the animals you showed us; they are all beautiful. Dan now has a wonderful life with you and your wife and his brothers/sisters and that is a great thing. I absolutely love animals too; it is so important to provide them a good home and life once you take them in. I own a pet sitting/side business so I know how important it is to take care of my fur babies as well as my clients' fur babies. I do it with lots of love, attention, and affection. Tito and Cheeto are so cute ---- all your animals are beautiful, cute, adorable, etc. Good luck with all that you and your wife are doing for these animals, they certainly deserve a good life.

Your white cat sounds like my white cat. Mine isnt overweight, she’s too active. She has a doggy door she runs in & out all day and night. She was feral, so she wont use a litter pan, which is fine with me. In the summer i had some trees cut down so I started having raccoons coming around. I fell in love with them. I live in city, so someone in my neighborhood turned me in for having trees in my yard. I had to have the trees removed & havent seen the raccoons again. Im hoping when my tall flowers come in this summer they will come back. I would love to have a baby raccoon.
