Been doing this for years.I only use cleaning vinegar and Damon Red Coat. Never had a comeback for over36 years. The majority of my jobs were rust problems.I always solider pin holes with a huge solider iron.

I need to redo my tank because I didn’t pay as much attention to cleaning the inside when doing it. I had red fuel for like 4 days😂. Anyway, I’ll knock it out soon and get the ride back on the road. After the red coat dries good you can put the tank in the sun on hot shiny days and or bake it in the oven at 160-170f for a couple hours

When cleaning and Coating new Aftermarket Harley 5 gallon split tanks. I would clean each half with acetone, drain then coat as you shown in video then proceed to the other half of the tanks? How much acetone and Red Coat should i use in each half? Thank You.
