I don't have a speed option under motion. I tried right clicking to pull up the speed option there. But it doesn't allow for slowing the video. Just speeding it up

Thank you for the video! Question. Adobe Premiere has a tool called Optical Flow, which makes low frame rates still look smooth at slower speeds. Does Kdenlive have an equivalent?

Is there way of making the speed change smooth? Instead of 100 - > 200 - > 100... to make it 100 - > 110 -> 120 -> ... -> 200, over a period of time, without having to cut it manually into hundred little segments

Yes, that's called speed ramping. On version 24, right click on the clip and select Time Remap.

While Speeding up a video clip, a blank space is appearing in the timeline until the next clip in the sequence. And I need to manually rearrange subsequent clips. Will it automatically rearrange when I speed up or slow down a clip in the project?

well you can change the speed using the left click and then change speed option >> and even reverse it

You can also hold down the control key and left click on the end of a clip to change the speed.

Not really, unless you are already familiar with Blender. I recommend Kdenlive and Shotcut for everyday video editing for most people.

Good question. When the clip is in the video track, right click and go to 'Change Speed'

if you rightclick the track, you want the speed changed. You get a dialog in which you can change it. You can also reverse the clip in this dialog.

Unfortunately version 22.8.02 has a totally different interface than what’s shown here and effects ect are selected in a different way. It’s a pity that some of your tutorials are outdated now especially with all the work in creating all those videos. 😗
