*This thought dump is a bit long- apologies haha* The framing of the wedding scene at 5:10 had to be intentional- Sherlock’s like “on second thoughts, I probably should have told you about the elephant in the room” and everyone else but John and Sherlock get blocked out of the view. They’ve don’t it multiple times as well- When Janine says to Sherlock “I wish you weren’t...whatever it is you are” and John appears in the doorway, looking for him. (Then proceeds to come up and clap him on the back like ‘Janine this man is mine’😂) And also in The Final Problem- Mycroft says the coffin is for “someone who loves Sherlock” and the camera cuts him out to focus on John. And then again when the coffin lid with ‘I love you’ is in the bg behind John 👀👀

whilst this is sooo interesting and actually seems legit, after watching the second episode of season 4... maybe the whole elephant in the room thing is the fact that nobody had ever mentioned the fact sherlock and mycroft had never talked about other siblings and now there's a sister.. perhaps that was what they have been trying to hint at us the whole time as she has been a "background" character like when john texted her and when she was pretending to be the daughter of the serial killer... idk

True, the elephant in the room opens up interpretations! It might not be about John and Sherlocks relationship at all, but it is portrayed as something Sherlock and John both are 'in on' just not speaking about. So it can't be about Euros because John would have to know about her and he didn't until TLD.

I completely agree with and love the idea that "out of his time" meant something about their relationship, but the first time I saw it, it just seemed like he wanted the world to be more advanced, technologically speaking.
