I saw a video that gave a solution and it kinda worked. But, and is a big but, you can alter the gears to the point you can add a metal spring on them, they are rectangular shaped parts with a single gear on top, that stops the full gear on the joint part of the legs. There are springs in Aliexpress that could fit in there, but I don't have Slug to experiment. The thing is, we shouldn't have to think of solutions for our figures straight out of the box.

The studio series dinobots have all been cool so far. I doubt they would, since she is a post g1 character, but I would love to see them make a slash in the same style.

Slash and especially Scorn are characters are characters I want SO done in a G1 look. Just do them in Legacy.

The single tooth portion of the soft ratchet is made of a plastic that is too malleable. I took mine apart, cut up styrene to fit in the bottom and inside the single tooth box, and it holds really well now. That extra tension really helps.

Man I hope the issues you mentioned are not universal. My Slag already has a bum knee out of the box because of a broken plastic spring (fixed the ratchet by using the paper ties to fill in where the spring should be LOL). Sludge is my favourite dinobot and between Wheeljack always getting the worst premolds, Thrust being unavailable here in Au and Dreadwind being a aerialbot retool Hasbro has given me the worst versions of my favourite characters.

I work at Walmart unloading the freight trucks. The other day, we received a box labelled TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LEADER ASST. When I go to work tomorrow if I see Sludge on the shelf I will freak out!

@@tfuniverse1651 Doubtful. Maybe wave four or the 2023 toys whatever those may be. If they've just noticed it recently, it's likely far too late for most anything due out this year. However, it seems that florescent lights tend to make these yellow much faster. (at least going by That Toy Guy's video on the matter)

Wow. Hasbro just stoops lower and lower every day. They are extremely lucky they own these trademarks. Honestly, half the time that's all they're selling us - these characters' likenesses. They increasingly seem to not care about quality or the consumer.

I wonder if its a thing due to all the shit going on in the world atm. Something with them cheapening out on the mixture of plastics. Ive recently bought 2 sets of goodsmile figure stands that were yellowed straight out out of a sealed box and you can see on the runners they were manufactured in 2021. Theyre straight up not as clear compared to the ones Ive had for 5+ years. im not sure I wouldve noticed if I didnt have em side by side.

Picked one up at Target a couple of weeks ago, the ratchet joints on mine are nowhere near that loose. It may be a common issue, but it’s definitely not universal

You sound like a Hasbro employee. Yes tails were for balance but they were for other things as well and they did move - unless you wanna tell me they didn't. Go ahead. Make my day. I think the bigger issue is how the tail doesn't transition to his body seamlessly. And also the tail isn't long enough and isn't on bendable ratchet joints like Skylynx neck for movability.

I love the figure but I agree that the fact that Hasbro is selling this figure with such a weak set of knees is disturbing. I hope that they see all the customer feedback and make an effort to avoid this in the future. I'd rather have a hollowness issue than weak joints or sacrifice articulation.

I see a lot of Reviews ,but i dont see the products on any Shelf in the Wild ... We didnt get a lot of Studio Series Figures as well over the last 2 years ,only the Bumblebee Movie Figures ,NO Scourges or Sweeps , Cup was on Pre Order for like a day or something ,but never in Stores ,,, But i dont care any longer because i stopped collecting 2 months ago , And i have to admit that it feels good to let go ,wich i never thought would be a possibility for me ...

I know you didn't address it, but there's an empty spot under his belly where it looks like his feet should tuck in and out of the way. Why Hasbro didn't finish that is only speculation. Probably budget but still disappointing. Still wondering how you guys are getting these so early down there. Must be nice!

Aftermarket prices😅. You’re facing the late tax. Slug got reissued recently, with a preorder on Big bad toy store, but it won’t happen for grimlock for a while because of the 2 new versions of the mold. They’ll probably do a buzzworthy repack for him.
