Hi Dave, thank you very much for this great edit. My highlight in this, control the midtones contrast adjustment with masking the mask. It feels like a well controlled burning. And then on the other hand masking the mask with the Lights 2. Both give a good but subtle depth. Get well soon, dear Dave and have a nice weekend.

Thanks Dave for another great TK Friday edit. The TK Friday edit is now my standard post-processing workflow, with the odd tweak as the Panel keeps on giving.

Great edit as always Dave. I specially like this edit because it still looks natural. I have seen 100s of more or less the same image on the internet and most of them look unreal specially in terms of colors in the sky. I have one question on sharpening - does the soft pop TK action adds sharpening because when I use it the photos look not only more contrasty but also quite some sharpening to it (sometimes I don’t like them)
@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly20 күн бұрын
Thanks. The Soft Pop Action enhances contrast, saturation, and sharpness.

It may be too much to ask , but could you place in the follow along sheet the corresponding time (minute) in the video. I use the follow along sheets as a HOW TO DO index when I am editing with TK9, and it would greatly help if I can also refer to the video. Thanks for TK Friday, its a great learning tool.

Thank you David. Another nice one. I was wondering if it is a good idea to make 2 groups with the sky and foreground masks and drag the adjustments you make in those groups if you don't want the changes in the sky/foreground? Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that way the layers are more organized and you don't have to make extra masks. I'd like to hear your opinion.
@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly20 күн бұрын
Thanks, Hans! I'm not sure I quite understand. Could you elaborate a bit more?
@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly20 күн бұрын
Hans, after giving your question some more thought, I believe I understand what you're suggesting. You mean creating a group with a Sky Mask and another with a Foreground Mask, then dragging the respective adjustments into each group. That's an interesting idea and definitely something to consider. Thanks for the suggestion!

Another winner Dave. One question, would you have enhanced the color at the top of the mountain when you made it brighter? Just wondering.Thanks again for another excellent video using TK9.
@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly20 күн бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! Enhancing the color at the top of the mountain when making it brighter can definitely add more depth and vibrancy to the image. It really depends on the overall look you're going for. Sometimes, a subtle enhancement can make a big difference.

Thanks again Dave for another great edit and video. Do you think the Adobe adaptive profile gives it a hdr bracketed look? Seems to give it a more saturated look as well. Would be interesting to see it in comparison to the linear profile which sometimes can be a bit muddy.
@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly20 күн бұрын
You’re welcome, Tony. Initially, I tried the linear profile, but then I decided to give the adaptive profile a try, which I preferred. I’m not sure if it has an HDR-bracketed look, but it’s definitely more saturated.

Thanks for another great edit! To get rid of the halo, is clone stamp usually the best approach?

You're welcome! I use the Clone Stamp tool quite a bit for removing halos.

Hello Dave, as always a great edit. I was just wondering, why you didn't you the Half-Edge Mask in combination with the Burn Tool as you did in last week's video. Keep up the good work.
@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly20 күн бұрын
Thanks Peter. With the halo removal method I used, you don't need the Half-Edge Mask.

Sky and double click later. In cannels it gives sky as background and vice versa. It is not big deal to change names or just remember in later stages but why does it so? Sorry my bad english
