In a traditional Japanese martial art context I was taught that direct eye contact while bowing was rude. When bowing, you can look at the other person's feet. This lets you see if they are about to move. I have been wondering if this was the same in Taekwondo.

Paul, do you think it's possible to get into a really high level taekwondo at the age of 20s in order to perform top level demonstrations? I'm thinking of things of reaaaaly crazy level like KTigers or TaekwonCre and alike
