ThyssenKrupp Velino Escalators @ Furnitureland South, Jamestown, NC

These are the escalators in the Showroom building at Furnitureland South, servicing levels 1-3 and the "Eco-Link" skybridge across the complex. These are some very cool early 2000s ThyssenKrupp escalators. These have some unusual stop switches for TK (the same ones found on most Schindlers and Hyundais, as opposed to TK's usual post-mounted buttons) and the somewhat rare digital control panels. They also have rare logos, mounted on the skirts, it seems that TK didn't start doing landing plate logos until later. The manufacturer's plates and control panels all still say Thyssen on them.

The Eco-Link doesn't have moving walkways unfortunately. I hoped it would. It connects the Showroom with the Mart (the whole place is Furnitureland South, there's no Furnitureland North)

Very nice Thyssenkrupp escalators very similar to Schindler and Kone designed escalators but nicer definitely a Schindler on steroids man, the only Thyssenkrupp escalators I ever rode was the Dillard’s at Forum at Ansley Park in Newnan Georgia and it was nowhere near as nice as these. 🤔 It is still unusual to see a Thyssenkrupp elevator or escalators in a department store especially a modern location in general. 🤔

I plan to visit that Dillard's one of these days as I have a relative who lives near there. It is pretty unusual to see TK in a retail store though.

@@tkefan29 That Dillard’s is really nice, I like it better than the one at Arbor Place for sure, it isn’t like the ones at Atlantic Station, Perimeter, or Mall of Georgia but it’s a close second to the one at North Point or Savannah Mall of course, and it’s still nicer than one at Mall of Louisiana as well, and yes very unusual to see a Thyssenkrupp elevator or escalator in any retail store! 🤔
