Not really. He’s a black belt. He’s honoring his belt and honing his craft. What you’re describing is GSP entering ADCC after a 2-1 start in his UFC career and being embarrassed by Hughes tapping in the first round. Then jumping into this with no belt getting flying arm barred in the 2nd stage by Lamparão a dozen years before GSP received his own black belt and took on the multi medal earner at Mundials. Thats an extreme example meant to contrast how a palm striking ground and pound victory is not an example of a former ufc champion having no ego.

@@Teddy-se8qb i mean for now yes, but all it takes is one top BJJ guy to get into it, and maybe others will follow as CJJ grows. That's the beauty of martial arts, as more people criticize BJJ, more BJJ guys might get into CJJ and adapt their BJJ accordingly. For example, BJJ had no choice but to eventually include Nogi classes and tournaments at the highest levels. That's a step towards real combat. CJJ is the next step. Martial arts will always evolve. Now I know some guys will just never want to get hit, but I am sure some will want to test themselves.
