Hendrix bug finally bit Arthur Lee HARD by this point, lol. I saw this lineup perform this song at the Eastown Theater in Detroit in 1970. George Suranovich caught my attention, because he was the most precise drummer I had ever heard, and I had heard the best of the drummers of that time. During the performance he was wearing a vintage Yellow Taxi uniform hat. George Suranovich died in 1990 at the age of 45 of a heart attack. It certainly wasn't from lack of exercise.

What wouldn't we give for a clip of the original Love with this sound and visual quality? For many years Love were no more than a cult. I first heard Alone Again Or in 1982 and fell in love with Love. As many have already posted Four Sail is vastly underrated. But all of their first albums are classics. Love should have been much bigger then they were, but for various reasons Arthur did not want to leave LA to tour or play the promotional game. The influence of Love has grown in importance over the years. The fact that they are Robert Plant's favourite band or that all of the Doors were in total awe of the band says it all.
