I just wanted to add this, Lisa was so very intelligent. She had a good head on her shoulders. You just couldn't pull the wool over her eyes. All the young lady's of TLC were very attractive and Sexy everyone of them. But Lisa was the drawing Card for TLC. Her troubles brought the attention to TLC. This was a interview at the "TLC Fanmail Concert" in Atlanta. (1-29-2000). I was there and they did amazing.. omg Lisa was like magic on stage.. wow

I remember Lisa saying her conflict in the group was more so with Chilli than Tboz during the Fanmail era. She said Chilli was the one that wanted to use Dallas austin and pay him 4 million to produce the album. She said that she and Chilli were mostly at odds and Tboz was in the middle. She said Tboz would agree with her on some things but was indifferent on most group decisions. Tboz would go along to get along.

After Lisa said to the Vibe editor that she would no longer be speaking until she was able to speak freely reporters, news outlets, magazines etc. would not consent to interview TLC UNLESS Lisa was present. She did not speak much because Tionne and Chilli DID NOT want her too. Lisa was too honest and they felt that brazenness could give the group a bad look which was why Chilli grabbed her leg when she laughed at the way the interviewer phrased her comment about not fitting in. That is also why a clearly irritated Lisa looked the way she did. They tried to control Lisa which was why after everything that happened, when Tionne and Chilli went and talked to the reporter at EW, Lisa responded with her challenge to them because up to that point she had never dogged them in the press. Their bond fell apart as the making of 'FANMAIL' began. Lisa came up with the concept two years prior to the group beginning work on the album. Lisa felt the group needed to branch out and work with other producers. She felt Dallas was asking way too much money which would leave little left to work with other producers. Chilli wanted Dallas, her child's father to do the entire album and didn't flinch at his $4.2M request, although she is very frugal. Lisa and Chilli were not speaking when she passed. She and Chilli had no relationship at all.

That is not true. Lisa's personal assistant, Stephanie Dayton said that was a lie. She stated that Lisa was notorious for losing phones etc. so she held onto Lisa's phones for her. It was common that if anyone needed Lisa for anything and couldn't get in touch with her, they should contact Stephanie. Chilli had gone through Stephanie on numerous occasions to reach Lisa. Stephanie said that not once in the later part of Lisa's life did Chilli contact Lisa. This is why I said that is untrue. Because Lisa's personal assistant said that it was not true.

This was actually around the time where they weren't all that close. Watch a few interviews from the Fanmail Era & compare to older ones. You could tell there was tension. It was Chilli and TBoz having fun w/ their inside jokes, and then Left Eye in the middle looking out of the loop and uncomfortable. After the stints Lisa pulled and the label, could you really blame them for their behavior?

Yes they loved her but that still doesn't make the little things they did to her right. People hurt the ones they love all the time. Still doesn't make it right. But I don't think that they were trying to gang up on her. You see, in most of those interviews, they had got into a fight before, and had to put fake smiles on their faces and do the interviews. If you get into it with someone... do you really want to hear what they have to say? So the "little things" they did were from being upset from an argument. Which is what SISTERS do.
