Because Chilli was never her name lol. Her name is Rozonda. Tionne and Lisa were the original two members of the duo and when they signed and took on a third, they signed Rozonda and gave her the name “Chilli” to go with the names “T-Boz” and “Left Eye” so they’d be called “TLC.” If she never joined TLC, she’d be Rozonda.

(should’ve been clearer. Tionne and Lisa were the original members of a three member group that became two after the third original member was let go. That third one was named Crystal, the C of TLC. Pebbles wanted and signed just Tionne and Lisa, they let Crystal go and then met and got Rozonda as the new third member and named her Chilli to make her the new C of TLC.) 😀 Life... ⭐️
