Yeah cus you go to your local dealership and every full sized bike is 10k and they dont have any 250 two stroke motocross models on the floor. They've priced the working class out of the sport 15-20 years ago and now its effects are being felt.

Bikes are the same price in inflation adjusted dollars as they were in the 80s and 90s. People just make less money than they used to in inflation adjusted dollars. You can look this up if you want - or keep thinking 250 2ts are the answer....

I ride a 125 2 stroke for that reason, but I’ll buy a 250F for my next bike. Rather spend 8k on a 250F than 7k on a 250 2T.

I make $20-30 a hour and I own 2 dirt bikes, 2 sport bikes, a jet ski and a Tacoma. Nothing financed. You just have to find the good deals

The Austrian group added two additional bike brands each with their own marketing, admin and production costs. But their sales certainly didn’t grow three times because of this. They were likely just diluted yet it increased their expenses greatly. When you take a look at the economic realities of this, how do you think triumph will fare under these conditions??

I've been saying for years... They need to build a decent entry level mx bike for 5 grand...along with it, offer hundreds of upgrades in the hard parts catalog so that you can build it to any skill level. That way one production line could cover everyone from curious entrant to local pro. Yamaha used to have a bike like that back in the 70s. Good but basic with tons of available upgrades.

It’s more to do with it’s a sport that’s out of reach for the type of public that actually want to ride. Entry level events are few and far between, pair that with Too much general expense for the average rider and above all bikes that are way too expensive now.

It’s crazy because gas gas ,KTM and Husqvarna are probably the most bikes sold out of any manufacture if anything KTM has definitely sold more bikes than any manufacture in the last 10 years!!

I think KTM’s plethora of reliability issues are killing their sales: - 300 pistons hitting crank and blowing a hole out the front of the cases - Failed pressure sensors - Fouled plugs - Jammed starters - Seize marks on piston and cylinder on 0 mile bikes - Adventure twins cam lobe collapse within 10,000 miles, taking the head with it - Fuel pumps mounted high up so bike runs out of gas with a liter remaining at the bottom - Start buttons failing - Grit in steering head bearings

Not only the bike companies, but the sponsors profits also suffer in a sh1t economy (rockstar drink sales, oneil etc etc) so harder to support teams than it was 4 years ago.

Only “new brand” that honestly has a shot is Ducati. Gas gas, husky, Triumph, have a up hill road. To me the only new brand that will stick is KTM. Of course I’m older

2018 Anderson won the 450sx championship, 2017 and 2018 Osborne won the 250sx championship. Osborne also won the 2017 250mx championship, and 2020 the 450mx championship. I will agree with you about gas gas, as they have a few wins with barcia, but husky has done well.

Nothing has to do with the Covid scandal. It has to do with the price of bikes point blank and period. Unless you’re a pro racer chasing the dream less and less people going to pay 10 plus grand for a bike that’s worth 5k as soon as it’s loaded in the truck. And that’s KTM groups fault for flooding the market and raising prices with every bike. People need to start realizing facts instead of just placing the blame on something from almost 5 years ago.

Trump doesn't have a magic wand and the uniparty will be pulling out all the stops to prevent him from doing anything, just like last time but worse! The coming and unavoidable economic realities are likely going to see an end to our sport as we know it in the near future. You cant fix 34 trillion dollars of debt by printing more dollars when the rest of the world is walking away from the US dollar. When the dollar is done..motocross will also be done so savour it while it lasts.

It’s not going to change anything we see. Troy Lee said in his gypsy pod they havent made profit from the team in many years. The teams just havent put in results like hrc/star/kawi/ktm. Austrian bikes arent selling like yami/honda.
