More info: - To get an idea of how frelimo lost, they haven't come out to celebrate their "victory". They done it a few times in places where there is calm, private spaces and some places with heavy military presence - Initially, there wasn't looting, even I was surprise, but the police shot tear gas and live bullets when the protestors where just marching - After the protest carck down, even business people were starting to become disastified with the situation. SERNIC members (equivalent to FBI) was cracking down the protest without uniform, and at the same time, they were shooting people. Because of that, there has been speculation that SERNIC is the one behind the kidnaping of businessmen - Before the protest even started, the so called "esquadrão da morte" or "death squad" in english, killed Venâncio's lawyer with 22 bullets to the face - people were protesting by banging cooking pots in buildings and the police shot tear gas at they're house, intoxicating month old babies. There is also a video where they ran over a woman in the capital - There is even videos of police stealing shops - Police men are being chased to they're houses, after killing children, there is a video of them shooting at kids in a school because they were protesting. Teenagers refused to do they're exams as a mean to protest - Professors and doctors also went on strikes demanding better conditions and proper pay. And a lot of military people are siding with the protestors

There were NEVER democracies. Just hold-over soft power from colonialism. What you are seeing now is a PUSH for actual independent. Hong Kong is a perfect example. They are brainwashed to think English rule and culture is better for them and they are Chinese. PROTEST China is making them do Chinese things . irregardless than China has the #1 economy in the world now. .... that wired colonial-brainwash is whats holding back these countries from India to Mozambique. Angola is literally upholding Portugal economy + Financial institutions with their money. and instead of being thankful Portugal + USA + EU took offense that Isabel dos Santos [ Angola's billionaire] is turning Portugal into a colony. They fear the new generation mindset of Make Africa Great Again: ( because all the math to achieve MAGA subtracts them in Africa) you cannot be wealthy on Earth 🌍🌎🌏without subtracting from Africa. people or places. Brother, there is literally streets in capitol called Kim Ill Sung, Mao Tse Dong qnd Vlademir Lenin. Statues of the first president Samora Machel were made in North Korea. Our flag has a star, the governments "logo" is the same as north korea's. It is not incorrect to call them that.

They (Frelimo) are and have always been Communists with Stalinist features. Their so-called turn to social democracy was just an act of dissimulation due to changing political trends in the early 1990s. @Linavolks's take on the communist architecture and aesthetics of the country (imposed by Frelimo) is pretty accurate. Frelimo has been Marxist-Leninist since 1977, but like Fabian socialists, they are very good at dissimulating. Fact: I am a Mozambican, and no one told me about this - I live under this communist spell (along with millions of Moz patriots) every single day!

@@Linavolksyou named a lot of symbols but no actual evidence why their politics should be classified as marxist. Russia also has statues of lenin and streets named after communists but Russias politics is very far away from marxist.

@@Linavolks Those are just leftovers of the 70s and the 80s. It doesn't mean that they aren't a capitalist state now.
