Awesome! Just grabbed a used 1 month old DBXL-E 2.0 for 1050$ Cad wich is a bargain vs the 1500$ price. I got another set of tire, an hitec servo and dgi wheel extender with it. I mostly got hooked up because of your video 👍🏻

Alright Shawn...I've been waiting for you to finish the 5B build. Now that you have both, which one would you take if you had to pick one? I like the 2.0 as it's more straight forward and don't have to find a conversion kit for it. Seems like I can also get more run time as the 2.0 should be able to fix larger packs. Was planning on doing a xlx2 800kv in which ever way I go. The only thing I can think of is that the 5B might be a better track weapon, buts thats it.
@RCKYOTA3 жыл бұрын
That's hard for me. For basic everyday use im going to have to lean towards the dbxl still. I like the folding body alot. The ease of access to the rx box and all the aftermarket parts available for it. This is def more for the track imo
@jamesbeesley54573 жыл бұрын
@@RCKYOTA that's pretty much what I thought as well. I also like the fact that the dbxl is in current production with parts availability. One more for ya, 800kv vs 1100? Thought it may be better just to go with the 800 and gear up if need be. U have 1100 in both cars? No issues with heat on the 1100?
@RCKYOTA3 жыл бұрын
@@jamesbeesley5457 I like the 1100 alot more. I'm getting one for this 5iveB also. I haven't had any real heat issues..as long as you have some fans on the motor your good. I set the temp cutoff to 180f so if it does get too hot it will just shut down

They are just expensive I think. The 5iveB is prob one of the toughest cars every built . It's a race machine. Very beef. Its huge tho. 5th scale

nice ! do you think DDM springs are stiff than red losi springs ?
@RCKYOTA3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure tbh these are ddm 5iveT springs . they aren't very stiff I have the rear preload nearly maxed out. I got some angel and demon hd 3.5 springs also I was going to throw on there. Still testing it out tho to see what I need to change/ fix
@Theroux19893 жыл бұрын
@@RCKYOTA by the way dude I did some searching on the web and found many people who said DDM HD spring weren’t that great because they have too much preload and bent the arm after a while. Found one guy talking about a german website that sell shorter spring with less preload but in many size and that it made the suspension feel awesome. So I grabbed my caliper and measured stock spring and with online calculator I determined the stock spring rate and also calculated SAG and bottom out strength. Then calculated all the available spring on the website (link at the end) and I determined that the gold 3mm spring would give perfect ride height (SAG) and be around 2.5 to 3 time harder to bottom out since they don’t have as much preload. Also I can now really fine tune ride height with preload ajustement. The gold spring are really bang on for my weight (SMC 9400mah). With 40wt oil the suspension is really plush and rebound is perfect. Almost now chassis roll and never flip the buggy even at 60+ mph. They look good too the gold is matt powder coat irl and look beautiful! Give then a try and you wont even want to try 5ive T shock! If you do please make a video about it so more people know! If you want pic DM me! rc-car-online.de/en-artikelConfig,y1388.html By that way I’m commenting for the DBXL 😅

If I have a Dbxle 2.0 and a 5ive T is there a reason to get the 5ive B? Or is the 5ive B that much better than the Dbxle?? What advantages or disadvantages?
@RCKYOTA11 ай бұрын
In my opinion no. 5b really only shines at the race track. Dbxle 2.0 is a better basher and daily use rig . 5b is discontinued so getting some of the parts for it is very hard. Wing mounts and side pods are near non existent now
